Si Bai Rong

Si Bai Rong is a privileged Si Clan Silver Moon Knight whose resources and talent give him status without matching judgment or sword mastery. His rivalry with Xue Ying and pursuit of Yu Jing Qiu expose increasingly selfish decisions that culminate in using Jing Qiu as a shield during a fatal explosion. (Chapters 38–50)

Biography

Pride, fear, and death on his first dangerous mission

At more than fifty years old, Bai Rong still looks young and is considered the Si Clan's leading younger-generation prodigy with a chance of reaching Legend rank. He uses that standing to belittle Dong Bo Xue Ying, threaten Xue Ying's family, and impress Yu Jing Qiu. Yet this is his first dangerous mission, and his confidence repeatedly gives way to fear: he underestimates the cult, struggles against arrow arrays, abandons his protector under attack, and retreats behind stronger companions. (Chapters 38–44)

After Xue Ying defeats the Demon God Emissary, the collapsing hall traps the survivors in lethal debris. Bai Rong grabs Jing Qiu and uses her armored body as a shield, offering future care for her clan in exchange for her death. Xue Ying rescues her and kicks him away; Bai Rong's protective Dou Qi then shatters under the stones and he dies. His storage treasure and protective band are returned toward his family, while the mission details remain secret. (Chapters 45–50)

Appearance and personality

Bai Rong appears as a young noble despite being over fifty and wears extravagant clothing. He is arrogant, class-conscious, jealous, boastful, and accustomed to smaller clans yielding to Si power. Under real danger, insecurity and self-preservation overpower his claimed courage and affection. (Chapters 38–44 and 48)

Abilities and cultivation

Family resources, innate talent, and a strong Dou Qi method raise him to Silver Moon Knight, giving him speed, physique, reactions, and protective Qi. He wields a two-handed great sword and can defeat ordinary knights, but remains far from “One with the Sword” and has been stuck without comprehending “One with the World.” (Chapters 41–43)

His weak technique makes him struggle against close-range arrows and experienced guardians despite his realm. Protective Dou Qi mitigates debris only briefly before failing, establishing his fatal defensive limit. (Chapters 43–49)
