Housekeeper Yun

Housekeeper Yun is an elderly steward of the High Mountain Imperial Wind Clan. His Jade Light God Eye identifies the injured Dong Bo Xue Ying, then known as Flying Snow, as an Ascendant and helps the household decide how to receive him.

Biography

Rescue in the Great Wilderness

While traveling through the Great Wilderness with Third Lady, Housekeeper Yun examines the badly injured Xue Ying at her request. He determines that Xue Ying lacks a Chaotic Origin Ancestral God bloodline and is therefore an Ascendant, though he cannot diagnose the unusual injury itself. Acting on Third Lady's order, he brings the stranger aboard and pointedly secures Xue Ying's assurance that he will not repay the rescue with hostility. (Chapters 1272–1273)

The party reaches safety, and Housekeeper Yun later reports his observations to the household master. He explains both Xue Ying's body-refinement level at their meeting and his own inference that the Ascendant's rapid destruction of Bat Mountain's three God Monarchs means much of his strength has returned. His report converts an act of roadside mercy into strategically important knowledge about a new expert. (Chapters 1274 and 1278)

Appearance and personality

Housekeeper Yun is a cold-eyed old man. He is formal and respectful toward his superiors, cautious with an unknown powerful cultivator, and exact about separating what his eye can establish from what it cannot. His initial coldness coexists with obedience to Third Lady's compassionate decision. (Chapters 1272–1273 and 1278)

Abilities and cultivation

Jade Light God Eye lets Housekeeper Yun inspect a cultivator's foundation. On Xue Ying it detects the absence of a native ancestral bloodline, the lack of a condensed God Heart, and a fleshy body at the early-stage God Monarch level. Its limit is equally explicit: he can see that the body suppresses persistent injuries but cannot determine their nature. (Chapters 1273 and 1278)

Housekeeper Yun judges that a fully recovered middle-stage God Monarch Ascendant would probably be comparable to himself. This supports God Monarch-level combat standing but does not fix his precise realm, and the corpus shows no personal battle or named offensive technique. (Chapter 1274)
