Ricciardo

Biography

Life in Klein's Era

Ricciardo was a severely injured Fate Councilor hidden under a bridge when Darkwill brought Klein to meet him. He attempted to augment Klein's luck but found the gray fog's protection beyond his influence; rather than withhold payment, he enhanced Darkwill's fortune so the pharmacist could win the promised money in casinos. (Chapter 611)

After recovering, Ricciardo rescued Roy King amid political upheaval and later met Klein while blindfolded because a premonition warned him not to open his eyes. He accepted a gold coin to remove Anderson Hood's imposed bad luck, dispelled it immediately, and shared intelligence about the Mother Tree of Desire. (Chapters 689–690)

Ricciardo and other Life School councilors later moved the Die of Probability while leaving traces intended to draw Ouroboros away. The operation contributed to the School's wider strain and division, but Ricciardo remained active rather than being identified among its losses. (Chapter 924)

Appearance and personality

Ricciardo was an elder with snow-white hair, no obvious wrinkles, a black short coat, a hard cane, and, during one dangerous meeting, a black eye mask. His deep, hoarse voice and willingness to honor payment through an alternative beneficiary conveyed restraint, caution, and a strong sense of obligation. (Chapters 611–690)

Pathways and abilities

Ricciardo was a demigod of the Wheel of Fortune pathway, though the corpus does not state his exact Sequence title. He could augment fortune, remove imposed bad luck, and receive precise danger premonitions, but severe injury reduced his operating condition and Klein's gray-fog protection blocked his attempt to alter fate. (Chapters 611–690)

Relationships

Darkwill was Ricciardo's subordinate and intermediary, while Klein became a client whose anomalous fate required caution. Anderson received Ricciardo's curse removal, and the other Life School councilors cooperated with him to protect the organization from Ouroboros. (Chapters 611–924)

Items

Ricciardo used a gold coin as the medium and payment for removing Anderson's bad luck. The Die of Probability was a Life School artifact under collective protection rather than his personal possession. (Chapters 689–924)
