Biography

Managing the Yu household's early publicity

Yong Dohee approaches Bom and Kaeul as an amicable Lair staff member and soon contacts Yu Jitae about auditioning Kaeul for the New Cadet Declaration. When the resulting attention threatens to grow beyond the household's wishes, she negotiates an exclusive interview that can clarify their position. Yu Jitae agrees only after securing Yong's private help rather than a generic promise from the PR office; she accepts and reveals that her former work as a paparazzi gives her experience outside ordinary institutional publicity. That relationship becomes useful when Kaeul's private video is copied and attacked by Wei Yan's fan community. Yong advises removing the account, monitors public reactions, and explains why the outrage is likely to change as wider audiences encounter it. Her analysis cannot prevent the first wave of hostility, but it gives Yu Jitae a clearer view of the media problem while she prepares for the additional work created by Association intervention. Protecting the masked performance

Yong later arranges a place for Kaeul in Lair's Masked Singing Contest and cooperates with Yu Jitae's request to make the initial selection appear unsuccessful, preserving the surprise. As a judge, she recognizes Kaeul without exposing her and openly questions the director when he tries to redirect Kaeul's chosen song to another contestant. Although disappointed when Kaeul refuses a larger opportunity, Yong respects the decision and continues moderating the rehearsal professionally. (Chapters 172–176)

Yong's friendliness coexists with a cunning professional streak: she sees the value of exclusive access and understands private information gathering from her paparazzi work. Yong demonstrates no magic, blessing, combat technique, or superhuman physiology. Her effective abilities are institutional and professional: she evaluates public reactions, negotiates interviews, monitors online communities, arranges event positions, protects confidential participant records, and uses prior paparazzi experience to offer discreet assistance.
