Lugiathan

Lugiathan is the chief of the displaced black dragon race and the mother of Bom and Myu. A sovereign who possesses Conceptualisation, she devotes her rule and her children to returning the black dragons to Askalifa, even after her physical death leaves her acting through Bom's inherited memories. (Chapters 401, 406–413, 422, 424)

Biography

Chief of the displaced black dragons

Lugiathan shelters her race inside a palace shaped by Conceptualisation while rival sovereigns threaten them. When Yu Jitae's past self repeatedly invades to steal her authority, she sends her daughters into a Non-Providential World and fights him beside her kindred. In the reconstructed past, she protects the banquet with barriers, confronts the attacker with a chain-sickle, and embraces Bom after the battle. Her protection is inseparable from pressure: she forces the memories of the massacre into her young daughter so that Bom will dedicate herself to restoring their race. (Chapters 401, 406–413)

A voice inside Bom's Grand Schema

After Lugiathan's physical death, her will remains among the vengeful spirits advising and policing Bom. She supports the plan for Bom to become Dragon Lord, demands that hardship continue until the black race can return, and presses her daughter to sacrifice her Earth friends when the coronation appears to require living victims. Bom initially yields under the nightmares and inherited grief, but ultimately deceives Lugiathan at the ceremony and postpones the racial plan, marking a rare successful defiance of her mother's authority. Appearance and personality

In human form, Lugiathan is a black-haired woman in plain clothing whose face closely resembles Bom's. She wears no crown despite being treated as the black dragons' king. A red gem occupies the place of one fang when she smiles; it is the core that carries her vitality. In battle her demeanour is compared to an angered lioness. (Chapters 406, 411, 413)

Lugiathan is formal and protective toward her guests and children, yet her devotion to the black race is severe enough to make family affection coercive. She grieves openly for dead relatives and genuinely wants her descendants to have a safe home, but uses those deaths as compulsory memories for Bom and values completion of the Grand Schema above individual lives. Powers and abilities

Conceptualisation

Lugiathan's Conceptualisation replaces incomprehensible aspects of an existence with concepts that an observer can understand. She uses the authority to move her hidden world into a visible form and render the black dragons' nest as a human palace. Yu Jitae later steals the authority by killing her, demonstrating both its exceptional value and the decisive limitation that Lugiathan herself can still be overcome when her vitality core is discovered and destroyed. Dragon abilities and sovereign combat

As a black-dragon chief and sovereign, Lugiathan can raise enormous protective barriers, isolate an incoming missile inside an alternate dimension, issue commands with Dragon Voice, and fight at close range with a large chain-sickle. She severs limbs from an iteration of Yu Jitae and continues attacking despite his overwhelming power. Sustaining the Great Barrier causes visible chest pain, and repeated assaults eventually expose the fang-core on which her vitality depends. (Chapters 409–411)

Memory transmission and posthumous influence

Lugiathan can transmit the black race's preserved memories directly to Bom, including the deaths of their kindred. After death, she continues to gaze, communicate, calm other spirits, impose nightmares, and attempt persuasion from within her daughter. This influence is powerful but not absolute: it cannot make noise near the Dragon Lord without risking detection, and Bom can conceal intentions from it and disobey. (Chapters 411, 422, 424)

Relationships

• Bom: Lugiathan protects Bom as her daughter and designated vehicle for the black race's return, but subjects her to brutal training, inherited war memories, and the demands of the Grand Schema. Bom loves her mother yet finally chooses her friends over immediate obedience. (Chapters 401, 409–413, 422, 424)
• Myu: Myu is Lugiathan's twelfth child and participates in the effort to preserve or avenge the black race. Lugiathan hides Myu with Bom during the assault on the palace, while Myu's later actions remain tied to the consequences of her mother's death. (Chapters 369, 399, 401, 409–413)
• Yu Jitae: Yu Jitae repeatedly attacks Lugiathan's palace in past iterations to kill her and obtain Conceptualisation. During the reconstructed past, his later self tries to protect her and divert his former self, partly to prevent Bom from reliving the massacre. (Chapters 370, 401, 406–413)

Items

Chain-sickle

Lugiathan personally carries a large chain-sickle when her palace is attacked. Its blows create powerful shockwaves, sever the attacker's leg and arm, and dig into his head, establishing it as her principal demonstrated close-combat weapon. (Chapter 411)

Vitality fang

A red gem replaces Lugiathan's left fang and serves as the core carrying her vitality. Yu Jitae's past self requires repeated attacks to discover that completely crushing this core is the means to kill her and obtain Conceptualisation. (Chapters 406, 411)

Demonic Sword of Grief

The Demonic Sword of Grief is the black dragons' greatest treasure rather than Lugiathan's private weapon. She mobilizes the race when it appears stolen, and her posthumous will later orders Bom to use it on Dragon's Origin as part of the plan to restore the black dragons to Askalifa.
