Xue Yuncui
Xue Yuncui is a Black Sieve Sect disciple who helps Zhao Shanhe isolate and assault Xu Qing. Having previously yielded to the same predatory patron, she treats submission as inevitable and turns her resentment toward Xu Qing, who ultimately executes her.
Biography
Persecution within the sect
Xue travels beside Xu Qing during the Black Sieve Sect expedition and uses the journey to criticize and humiliate her. She knows Zhao Shanhe has paid for reports on Xu Qing’s location and that the Blessed Land will provide the isolation he wants. Rather than warn Xu Qing, Xue argues that resistance is pointless and cites her own earlier submission as the model Xu should follow. (Chapters 145–147)
Her conduct reflects both accommodation to Zhao’s power and active cruelty. She is no longer merely surviving his attention; she helps normalize it, resents Xu Qing for refusing, and seeks status by assisting the person protected by the Zhao Clan.
Pursuit and restraint
Inside the Blessed Land, Xue accompanies Zhao in the pursuit and encourages Xu Qing to surrender. Xu is exhausted and injured, allowing Xue’s Qi Condensation cultivation to become sufficient for physical restraint. When Xu tries to kill herself rather than be assaulted, Xue prevents it. She later pins Xu down and holds a sword to her neck when Meng Hao arrives. (Chapters 148–150)
The hostage position gives Xue confidence only while Zhao controls the encounter. Meng Hao destroys Zhao’s concealment, disarms Xue, and binds her with vines before she can use the sword. Her panic exposes how completely her earlier dominance depended on an exhausted victim and a protected accomplice. (Chapters 150–151)
Execution by Xu Qing
Xu Qing asks to kill Xue personally. She returns Xue’s own taunts before using the captured sword to execute her. Meng Hao’s vines then remove the corpse. The end gives Xu agency over an abuser while making clear that Xue’s alliance with Zhao never provides protection once his clan status is unable to control the battlefield. (Chapters 151–152)
Appearance and personality
Xue Yuncui is a pretty, coquettish woman whose cultivated charm masks jealousy and cruelty. She is opportunistic around power, confident against weakened targets, and terrified when the hierarchy reverses. Her own history with Zhao explains part of her fatalism but does not erase the deliberate assistance she gives his attack.
Abilities and cultivation
Qi Condensation cultivation
Xue possesses enough cultivation to travel in the Blessed Land and overpower the exhausted Xu Qing. Her exact level is not stated. Meng Hao’s stronger Foundation Establishment magic restrains her immediately, showing the realm limit.
Sword handling
She carries a sword and can use it to hold a blade at a restrained target’s neck. The source does not show a sword aura, named manual, or successful duel, so her confirmed skill is basic weapon use rather than sword specialization.
Physical restraint
Xue can pin an injured cultivator and prevent movement or self-harm. This application depends on Xu Qing’s exhaustion and Zhao’s control of the surroundings; it fails as soon as Meng Hao’s vines enter the confrontation.
Social complicity
Her access to Zhao’s plan and willingness to reinforce his threats let her participate in abuses beyond what her cultivation alone could accomplish. This power is entirely dependent on patronage and collapses with Zhao’s defeat.
