Slaughter

Slaughter is the white-haired, black-robed ancient Paragon whom Meng Hao names for a murderous aura vast enough to overwhelm consciousness.

Biography

The figure in Dao-Heaven's painting

Dao-Heaven's Paragon Painting contains a black-robed figure whose aura suggests worlds upon worlds of killing. Dao-Heaven regards him as a master, while Meng Hao gives him the name Slaughter. When the Paragon Bridge appears, the painted figure shows recognition and murmurs of the Heaven Trampling Bridge, proving that the image preserves awareness and memories older than the Mountain and Sea Realm. Teacher of Spatial Bending

Slaughter later appears independently during Meng Hao's Song Clan debt collection. A glance drags Meng Hao's consciousness into boundless killing and removes bystanders' memories of the encounter. He leads Meng Hao through space-time steps, visits an ancient Wang Clan acquaintance, and offers a progression: master Spatial Bending first, then earn the right to learn Call the Wind. The instruction is demonstrated through movement rather than given as abstract scripture. (Chapters 1205–1207)

One intervention in the war

During the Mountain and Sea war Slaughter tells Shui Dongliu he will help once. He watches Meng Hao and Xu Qing with apparent memories of his own past, then later severs a corner from the descending Immortal God landmass. The strike carries sealing power that temporarily blocks the continent's experts from invading, buying time without defeating the entire enemy civilization. He remains outside the final collapse as an independent observer. (Chapters 1323–1398)

Appearance and personality

Slaughter is a black-robed man with long white hair, an extraordinary face, and an emotionless gaze. His murderous aura feels like accumulated extermination on a world scale, yet moments of reminiscence and blankness imply that killing does not exhaust his identity. He is austere and transactional: he teaches through tests, promises Shui Dongliu exactly one intervention, and does no more than the promise requires. (Chapters 1122–1143, 1205–1207, and 1323–1398)

Abilities and cultivation

Paragon pressure and slaughtering will

His aura can make an Allheaven Dao Immortal feel consciousness sinking into boundless slaughter. A simple gesture releases explosive will, and his presence remains difficult for nearby experts to sense unless he allows it. The effect attacks mind and perception, but the corpus does not show it automatically enslaving every Paragon-level opponent. (Chapters 1119–1143 and 1206)

Memory-erasing gaze

Slaughter can remove witnesses' memory of seeing him with a glance, isolating his movements from ordinary observers. Meng Hao retains the meaningful encounter because Slaughter chooses to instruct him; the power is selective concealment rather than proof that Slaughter can rewrite any memory without limit. (Chapters 1205–1207)

Spatial Bending

Spatial Bending is footwork through folded space and time. Slaughter demonstrates a path Meng Hao must follow and comprehend, making mastery dependent on reproducing the sequence rather than merely receiving energy. It becomes the prerequisite for Call the Wind, establishing staged instruction and a clear progression barrier. (Chapters 1205–1207)

Continental severing and sealing

His war intervention cuts away a corner of the Immortal God landmass and embeds enough sealing power to delay the experts within. The feat has enormous scale, but its stated result is temporary interference, not destruction of the whole continent. (Chapters 1394–1395)
