Sixth Fang Clan Patriarch

Sixth Fang Clan Patriarch is a buried Fang ancestor who cultivates reincarnation and prepares Fang Wei as a bloodline-compatible replacement body. His doppelgänger forces Fang Wei beyond normal Immortal limits during the clan rebellion, but Fang Wei’s resistance helps Meng Hao destroy it before the First Patriarch executes the surviving true body.

Biography

Preparing Fang Wei

The Sixth Patriarch is the ancestral expert designated for the current millennium, while his true body remains in the underground ancestral lair. He projects soul power elsewhere and cultivates methods involving reincarnation, the Yellow Springs, and possession. Fang Wei’s matching bloodline and exceptional talent make the younger cultivator the intended vessel for a future “true self.” (Chapters 920, 945, 966 and 974)

The plan is not a sudden battlefield possession. A doppelgänger soul has been nurtured inside Fang Wei over years, allowing the Sixth Patriarch’s will to coexist beneath the descendant’s identity until the rebellion creates the required crisis. Rebel elders and Fang Wei’s branch treat the arrangement as a path to victory and ancestral continuity, while Fang Wei himself is reduced to material for another person’s return. (Chapters 991–993)

Doppelgänger rebellion

When the uprising begins, the doppelgänger awakens and suppresses Fang Wei’s conscious control. It drives the body to 330 Immortal meridians and thirty-three Immortal souls, the theoretical maximum of the Immortal Realm, then uses that power against Meng Hao. The feat shows how possession combines the vessel’s bloodline potential with an Ancient patriarch’s technique. (Chapters 994–998)

Fang Wei continues resisting from within. At the decisive moment he returns Meng Hao’s Nirvana Fruits and pulls the doppelgänger soul into the path of Meng Hao’s killing strike. The possessed body dies and the projected soul is destroyed. Deep below, the true Sixth Patriarch suffers the backlash while fighting the loyal Seventh Patriarch, but he survives the loss of the doppelgänger. (Chapters 998–999)

First Patriarch’s judgment

The rebellion is eventually revealed as a trap constructed within the First Fang Patriarch’s plan. The Sixth Patriarch turns pale when Fang Shoudao exposes the reversal. Those killed during the controlled catastrophe are restored, including conspirators whose roles must be judged rather than simply erased by death. The First Patriarch then executes the Sixth Patriarch and the other traitorous ancestors in Chapter 1004, ending the true body after the possession plan has already failed.

Appearance and personality

The true patriarch’s detailed appearance is secondary to his buried body and projected souls. Through his conduct he is patient, secretive, and willing to erase a descendant’s autonomy for personal continuity. His long preparation demonstrates discipline, but its assumption that Fang Wei will remain only a vessel underestimates the younger man’s loyalty and will.

Abilities and cultivation

Ancient Realm cultivation

The Sixth Patriarch is an Ancient Realm expert able to fight another Fang patriarch beneath the ancestral mansion while projecting a doppelgänger into the rebellion above. The text does not state his exact number of extinguished Soul Lamps.

Reincarnation Incantation

His reincarnation path lets a prepared soul-copy embed within a bloodline descendant and awaken as an alternate self. Compatibility and years of preparation matter; the art is not shown seizing arbitrary opponents instantly. Destruction of the copy produces backlash but does not automatically kill the original.

Bloodline-compatible possession

Inside Fang Wei, the doppelgänger suppresses consciousness and uses the body’s cultivation as its own. It pushes the vessel to 330 meridians and thirty-three Immortal souls, but control remains contested. Fang Wei can still choose at a critical point and deliberately sabotage the possessor.

One Thought Yellow Springs Dao

The Sixth Patriarch cultivates a Dao associated with the Yellow Springs and reincarnation. It supports his soul and possession methods. The current supplied scenes name the path more clearly than they isolate a full offensive sequence, so no unsupported effects are assigned.

Doppelgänger limit

The copy contains great power and inherited knowledge but is not equal to an untouchable second life. Meng Hao can destroy it when Fang Wei stops defending from within, and the true body receives the resulting injury.

Relationships

  • Fang Wei: Descendant cultivated as a replacement body who ultimately rebels against the doppelgänger.
  • Meng Hao: Rival heir whose killing attack destroys the projected soul.
  • Seventh Fang Clan Patriarch: Loyal patriarch who battles the Sixth Patriarch’s true body underground.
  • Fang Clan First Patriarch: Ancestor whose hidden plan reverses the rebellion and orders the traitors executed.

Items

  • No independently named personal treasure is confirmed. Fang Wei’s body and bloodline are exploited as a vessel, not treated as an item.
