Seventh Fang Clan Patriarch is one of the ancient Fang Clan Patriarchs sleeping beneath the ancestral mansion and an early witness to Meng Hao's bond with the Dao Guardsman.

Biography

Observer in the ancestral land

The Seventh Patriarch awakens beneath the Fang ancestral mansion when Meng Hao's return destabilizes assumptions the elders have held for generations. He projects divine will into the ancestral land during an assassination attempt, prepared to intervene if the clan's junior is killed. Before he acts, Meng Hao awakens the terracotta Dao Guardsman formed with Ke Yunhai's life force. The soldier destroys Ancient Realm attackers and then submits to Meng Hao, leaving the Seventh Patriarch terrified by its power and astonished by its loyalty. (Chapters 945–950)

The discovery changes his evaluation of Meng Hao. Seventh Patriarch knows that even senior Ancient Realm elders with fourteen extinguished Soul Lamps cannot suppress the soldier and that only Fang Shoudao's Dao Realm strength normally could. Meng Hao's ability to command it therefore represents more than a fortunate treasure; it gives him access to a guardian capable of overturning the clan's internal balance. Rebellion beneath the mansion

When the Fang Clan rebellion begins, three of the buried Patriarchs betray the others. The Seventh Patriarch is wounded in the surprise attack but immediately opposes the Sixth Patriarch and the faction invoking Lord Li's legacy. Their struggle continues underground while the ancestral mansion descends into civil war and the Ji Clan blocks outside relief. His loyalty is not inferred from survival after the fact: he takes the loyal side when the outcome is still uncertain and the traitors include elders more powerful than himself. The emergence of the first-generation Patriarch ends the conflict at a level none of the buried elders can contest. Seventh Patriarch and the surviving loyal powers cease fighting and bow. After the civil war, Seventh Patriarch participates in the deliberations that redefine Meng Hao and Fang Wei as the clan's sword and shield. He later reacts with the other ancestors when Patriarch Reliance reaches Planet East Victory, remaining part of the restored senior council rather than returning immediately to irrelevant sleep. The Seventh Patriarch is an ancient cultivator whose body has spent long periods in secluded sleep beneath the ancestral mansion. The supplied chapters emphasize his projected gaze, shock, and patriarchal bearing rather than distinctive clothing or facial detail.

He is knowledgeable enough to measure the Dao Guardsman's true danger and honest enough not to disguise his fear from himself. That capacity to revise judgment is important: Meng Hao repeatedly exceeds the limits Seventh Patriarch thinks possible, and the elder responds with admiration rather than automatic hostility. During the rebellion his defining quality is loyalty. Surprise and injury do not move him into neutrality; he fights the traitorous Patriarchs before the founder's return makes loyalty safe.
