Second Mountain Echelon Cultivator is the unnamed blue-robed representative whose pursuit and sacrifice demonstrate how the Windswept Realm turns the Echelon's competition into a killing ground.
Biography
Watching Meng Hao's rise
The cultivator appears on the Second Nation's frozen National Aura Mountain while Meng Hao fights Lin Cong. Seated amid swirling snow, he watches through an ice screen as the Seven God Steps culminate in the God-Slaying Fist. Although outwardly calm, he is shaken by a combat style capable of overwhelming another Echelon member. The scene establishes him as an active contestant assessing a new rival rather than an anonymous observer elsewhere in the Second Mountain and Sea. (Chapter 1105)
Hunted by Dao-Heaven
At some point after obtaining the Second Nation's World Seal, he encounters Dao-Heaven. Dao-Heaven takes the seal, but the Second Mountain cultivator initially escapes, apparently believing that losing the obvious prize may reduce the incentive to keep hunting him. That calculation fails. Dao-Heaven tracks him down, kills him, and displays his severed head in the Realm-wide statue announcing the victory. The reward for the kill is the ancient Lofty Mountain Immortal Flail, making the death an explicit incentive for further Echelon slaughter. (Chapters 1116–1117)
Captive soul and final consumption
Death does not immediately free his soul. The Windswept Emperor uses the Realm's power to collect it, along with the souls of Hai Dongqing and Hong Bin, inside a crystal ball. During the Emperor's final attempt to break through the net surrounding the Realm, the three dead Echelon souls are chained to the World Essence as power sources. The Second Mountain cultivator's Dao and remaining soul are absorbed until he explodes and fades completely. He is a blue-robed man with cold features, seated amid snow on the Second Nation's mountain. He controls his outward expression even while Meng Hao's strength shocks him.
