Meat Jelly

The Meat Jelly, also called Ultimate Vexation, is a transforming, impossibly talkative entity bound to Meng Hao.

Biography

Southern Domain and the Black Sieve Sect

Meng Hao frees it from the Black Sieve Blessed Land. It takes the forms of an old-man-faced slab, a green hat, and later a parrot, insisting that immoral people must be reformed by endless lecturing. Its durability, transformations, and chatter help Meng Hao escape, cultivate, and confound enemies across Chapters 161–182.

In Chapter 206 it lends Meng Hao a youthful transformation after he promises three bullies. Meng Hao supplies three Huang brothers, whom the meat jelly begins reforming in the blood mask. Lending its power forces it to shed; after awakening it conceals the aura of Meng Hao’s sixth Perfect Dao Pillar. (Chapters 206–228)

In Chapter 276 it again demands three bullies, complains about the absent parrot it wants to convert, and returns to the mask to lecture the Li Clan Patriarch.

Black Lands, Crow Divinity, and the Demon Immortal Sect

The Meat Jelly emerges to resume its ancient quarrel with the newly awakened Parrot. Calling itself Lord Third, it lectures Meng Hao's followers, becomes a bell or hat, helps power the Church of the Golden Light's formations, disguises itself as Spirit Stones for a robbery, and absorbs Tribulation Lightning despite its complaints. (Chapters 317–391)

Later it shares the man-form Outlander Beast with that beast and the Parrot. The three remain distinct minds, fighting together through the Crow Divinity wars. Ten years later, the Meat Jelly and Parrot evade Spirit Severing Divine Sense and return to the Black Lands. (Chapters 419–519)

Southern Domain War and Dao Seeking

The Meat Jelly remains paired with Lord Fifth as Meng Hao returns to the Southern Domain. In the Immortal's cave that preserves a projection of the Parrot's divine will, its instinct for bickering turns into a tactic: the companions provoke the projection into striking the altar that sustains the encounter. The escape depends on understanding and exploiting the scene's mechanism rather than overpowering the ancient will directly. (Chapter 730)

The Wider Ninth Mountain and Sea

The Meat Jelly accompanies Meng Hao through the South Heaven temple conflict and joins the Parrot in an attempted con of Zhixiang. During the Fang Clan journey it helps disguise Meng Hao, debates Fang Xi, and becomes embroiled in the Parrot's trouble with Fang Shuiyan and her peacock. (Chapters 801–927)

It later accompanies Meng Hao inside the Fang ancestral land, including his systematic looting under the terracotta soldier's protection and the expedition into the Nine Nethermountains. (Chapters 950–952)

Nine Seas and the Windswept Realm

Lord Third joins the Parrot throughout the Nine Seas and Windswept arcs. It helps break the captured Demonic cultivators, accompanies Meng Hao into the lower realm, joins the battle with Han Qinglei, and later returns during the volume’s travel and family sequences. (Chapters 1019–1024, 1033–1035, 1044, 1048, 1051, 1054–1057, 1059–1060, 1083–1084, 1088, 1097–1100, 1124–1126, 1128–1129, 1180–1181, 1188–1189 and 1204)

Meng Clan and the Mountain and Sea War

Lord Third accompanies Meng Hao through the Meng Clan journey, the war’s opening, and the assault on the 1st Heaven. It supports the Parrot, appears with Lonelytomb and the Blood Mastiff, and even absorbs a collision with Long Linzi while loudly surrendering on its own peculiar terms. It remains active through the Parrot’s final wartime choice. (Chapters 1219–1223, 1232, 1246–1247, 1251, 1272, 1279, 1297–1298, 1320, 1325, 1342, 1348, 1360 and 1408)

Vast Expanse and Transcendence

The Meat Jelly does not return with the Parrot when the copper mirror is restored; its wartime sacrifice remains one of Meng Hao's deepest losses. After complete Transcendence, Meng Hao reaches into the river of time and restores its soul to the surviving fossilized armor. Lord Third returns to life with its talkative personality intact and immediately resumes its familiar place beside Meng Hao and Lord Fifth. (Chapters 1407–1408 and 1539–1541)

Beyond Allheaven

Lord Third remains beside the Parrot during the cursed epoch, eventually leaving legends and a school in its name. It later awakens from preservation, resumes its familiar arguments, and travels with Meng Hao, Xu Qing, and Lord Fifth beyond the starry sky of the Mountains and Seas. (Chapters 1592, 1608, 1610–1611, and 1614)

Appearance and personality

Its base form is a rectangular meat jelly with an old man’s face. It can become a green hat or parrot and can lend transformation power to others. It is garrulous, literal-minded, obsessed with morality, and fixated on the number three. Its lectures are torment rather than violence, although their victims often prefer violence.

Abilities and cultivation

Durable body and lightning absorption

The Meat Jelly first appears as a pure-white gelatinous slab capable of consuming repeated bolts of Tribulation Lightning. Its body survives impacts and attacks that would destroy ordinary cultivators, and it can expand into a huge bubble that traps opponents who cannot leave marks on its surface. “Indestructible” is nevertheless relative rather than absolute: Paragon-level clashes weaken it, the Battle Weapon can be shattered, and its wartime efforts eventually reduce it to fossilized armor. Transformation and lending

Lord Third can become a hat, bell, parrot, rope, barrel-like drums, armor, Spirit Stones, or a large restraining body, and it can forcibly alter another being's outward form. It can also lend Meng Hao a younger appearance. Lending that power has a clear recovery cost: the Meat Jelly sheds, becomes hard and inert, and loses access to transformation for roughly a month. Its disguises can deceive sight and support confidence tricks, but they do not automatically reproduce the spiritual value of the object imitated. (Chapters 206–222, 321–332, 1048 and 1204)

Shed skin and derivative defenses

The cast-off skin retains extraordinary toughness. Powder made from it gives a medicinal pill a shell that Fatty cannot bite through, while cores made from the material allow Meng Hao's Blood Clones to regenerate as long as he lives. The clones remain limited by their own low cultivation, so resilience does not equal offensive parity with the original. The skin's usefulness also depends on collecting a shedding event; Lord Third cannot continuously produce unlimited defensive material without undergoing the transformation-lending cycle. Armor and life-force transfer

The Meat Jelly can spread around another person as living armor, intercepting blades and physical restraints that would otherwise reach the wearer. Against stronger Paragon attacks it is injured or penetrated, establishing that the defense absorbs force rather than nullifying all harm. During the final retreat it not only armors Meng Hao but transfers its own life force into him, turning its durability into a consumable sacrifice and leaving the companion itself dead until Meng Hao later restores it through time. Aura concealment and “reformation”

After shedding, Lord Third helps cover the aura of Meng Hao's sixth Perfect Dao Pillar, preventing the new pillar from immediately exposing his forbidden Foundation. This is targeted concealment, not the removal of the pillar or its tribulation. Its other signature weapon is endless moral instruction: it fixates on converting “bullies,” confines listeners in the blood mask when possible, and uses supernatural persistence rather than mind control. Victims may be exhausted or coerced, but the lectures do not guarantee genuine moral change. (Chapters 206–228 and 276)
