Hanxue Shan

Hanxue Shan is a young woman of Holy Snow City who becomes Meng Hao's guide and ally during the siege. She entrusts him with her clan's sacred seed and develops unreturned romantic feelings for him.

Biography

Meeting outside Holy Snow City

Hanxue Shan first meets Meng Hao while defending herself from Gu La, who wants the Frigid Snow Clan's hidden Dragoneer legacy. She uses a Frigid Snow Larva and understands enough of Western Desert beast cultivation to warn Meng Hao that Gu La is a ranked Dragoneer. After Meng Hao subdues him, she identifies herself and offers to carry Meng Hao's request into besieged Holy Snow City. (Chapters 353–354)

Her attempt to return with a rescue party is trapped among enemy beasts, so Meng Hao and the controlled Wild Giant become the means by which she reaches the city. Hanxue Shan accepts the giant's hand despite its frightening appearance and acts as Meng Hao's guide and advocate once inside. When the elders invite him to the alchemy consultation, she delivers messages, encourages him, and secretly brings Zhou Dekun's pill formula in an effort to improve his chances. (Chapters 355–360)

Sacred seed and the fall of the city

As Holy Snow City's defenses fail, Hanxue Shan entrusts Meng Hao with more than information. She gives him a Thorn Rampart seed and recites the secret Dragoneer technique carried in her bloodline. The method lets him awaken and direct the ancient plant, converting a nearly dead clan inheritance into a battlefield force. Her choice is both practical and transgressive: withholding the secret would preserve exclusivity for a clan that may not survive, while sharing it gives the people a chance to escape. The revived rampart becomes too vast for ordinary defenders to control, demonstrating that Hanxue Shan supplies access rather than personal mastery over its final scale. During the confrontation with Luo Chong, she endures threats directed at her and interprets Meng Hao's response through the affection developing between them. Meng Hao does protect the city and its people, but her romantic understanding grows more quickly than any promise he has made. (Chapters 369–374)

Farewell in the snow

When Meng Hao awakens after the decisive conflict, Hanxue Shan remains beside him. The clan proposes her as his beloved, exposing feelings she has not fully spoken, but Meng Hao declines. She leaves in grief and sits alone among the snowy ruins of the home her clan is abandoning. Their later farewell is gentler: they exchange playful words, he gives her a personally concocted pill, and she asks him to remember her whenever he sees snow. The scene closes their alliance without pretending that his gratitude is romantic commitment. (Chapters 379–382)

Hanxue Shan later shows the pill to Chu Yuyan and learns that the rescuer she knew is also Grandmaster Pill Cauldron. The revelation increases the meaning of the gift but does not change their parting. (Chapter 388)

Southern Domain War and Dao Seeking

Years later Hanxue Shan appears with Meng Hao's old acquaintances at the Ancient Dao Lakes. She watches his blood-robed arrival and remembers Holy Snow City while he redistributes the lakes among Southern Domain powers. On his return to the Violet Fate Sect, she serves as a trusted intermediary by delivering his protective jade slip to Chu Yuyan. She later witnesses preparations for his marriage to Xu Qing with visible unhappiness, showing that time has not erased her feelings even though she does not attempt to overturn his choice. Appearance and personality

Hanxue Shan is a young woman dressed in white, visually associated with the snow and ice of her clan. Siege, wounds, and the ruined white city frame many of her appearances, while her solitary farewell in the snow reinforces the memory she asks Meng Hao to keep. (Chapters 353–382)

She is brave, generous, emotionally candid, and loyal to both family and allies. Her greatest decision is sharing a sacred bloodline method when tradition would favor secrecy. In love she is hopeful and sometimes misreads Meng Hao's protection as personal courtship, but after rejection she does not betray him or obstruct his later marriage. Abilities and cultivation

Frigid Snow Larva

Hanxue Shan can deploy the clan's larva defensively against a stronger Dragoneer threat. The creature is valuable and culturally important, but it does not let her defeat Gu La's entire neo-demon force alone. (Chapter 353)

Bloodline Dragoneer inheritance

Her Frigid Snow bloodline preserves the spoken method needed to awaken or communicate with the Thorn Rampart. She can transmit the formula to Meng Hao; his greater cultivation and neo-demon ability are what turn it into a vast battlefield force. (Chapters 368–369)

Thorn Rampart seed

Hanxue Shan recognizes, carries, and entrusts the clan's sacred seed. Once revived it produces uncontrolled thorn growth capable of reshaping the siege, which means the technique offers immense area defense but also threatens friend and foe if not contained. (Chapters 368–370)

She can fight, travel through the besieged region, and remain active through Holy Snow City's collapse.
