Elder Brother Li is a haughty Solitary Sword Sect disciple who repeatedly antagonizes Meng Hao.
Biography
Harassing Chen Fan's guest
Elder Brother Li is a Pseudo Core disciple who takes part in the Solitary Sword patrol's confrontation with Meng Hao. Chen Fan repeatedly asks him to give the outsider face and later rebukes him for using superior cultivation to harass a guest. Chen's status among the Seven Solitary Sword Sons and the protective flying dagger keep Li from pressing the dispute directly, but do not end his resentment toward either former Reliance disciple. The Battle Arena scheme
Li enters the Solitary Sword Battle Arena with a hypocritical smile and publicly challenges Meng Hao. To make the duel appear fair, he offers to restrict his cultivation to mid Foundation Establishment. Zhou Shanyue and other disciples add taunts and agree to support the stakes, turning refusal into a supposed admission of cowardice. Li's real advantage is that he can remove the restriction once Meng Hao is trapped inside the arena. (Chapters 182–183)
Meng Hao's compact Flame Dragon destroys Li's sun-and-moon sword auras, expands into a huge Flying Rain-Dragon, and drives him through nine protective jade slips. Li responds by restoring his Pseudo Core power and drawing an azure sword for the Seven Exterminations, openly intending a fatal blow. Meng Hao's spiritual sense and five-step illusory hand erase the seven sword images, shatter the weapon, and strike Li until he admits defeat. The loss leaves him pale, injured, and bitter, while the wager transfers his Spirit Stones and destroys the sword on which he based his confidence. (Chapter 184)
Appearance and personality
He is a stately middle-aged man with black hair streaked with white. Li is proud, class-conscious, vindictive, and capable of presenting hostility as sect etiquette. He dismisses Meng Hao as a barbarian from a backwater sect and interprets a staged restriction as sufficient fairness, then abandons that limit the moment he begins losing. His bitterness after defeat contrasts with the haughty certainty with which he enters the arena.
Abilities and cultivation
Li is at the Pseudo Core stage and can temporarily suppress himself to mid Foundation Establishment.
Sun and moon sword auras
While restricted, Li forms images of a sun and moon beside his palm and turns them into two sword auras. He expects the paired strike to erase a basic Flame Dragon, but both manifestations collapse and burn to ash against Meng Hao's compressed spell. The failure shows that apparent realm matching cannot compensate for the difference in foundation and control. (Chapter 184)
Nine-jade protection
Nine jade slips float around Li and generate a defensive field when the expanding Flying Rain-Dragon and flame sea reach him. The barrier absorbs part of the force but cannot prevent Meng Hao's charge from blasting him backward and drawing blood. The slips are prepared defensive items, not evidence of bodily durability. Solitary Sword Seven Exterminations
After restoring his full Pseudo Core cultivation, Li feeds late Foundation Establishment power into an azure sword. A cyclone surrounds it and seven ghost swords appear, creating one of the Solitary Sword Sect's strongest Foundation Establishment stances. Li hopes to use the killing move to win a place among the Seven Sons. Meng Hao stops it with successive hand strikes and spiritual sense, destroys each image, and breaks the physical sword in half. The technique is lethal against ordinary peers but fails under superior spiritual pressure. (Chapter 184)
