Demonic Horde Scaled Dao Patriarch, identified as Chi Long, is the red-haired Dao Realm patriarch who speaks for the Demonic Cultivator Horde during its conflict with Meng Hao. He is distinct from the other Horde patriarch, Wu Ling.

Biography

The trap against Meng Hao

Chi Long joins three other Dao Realm experts in using an inter-faction agreement to keep Granny Nine, Godmaster, Ling Yunzi, and the human faction's Ancient Realm cultivators from intervening in a death trap laid for Meng Hao. When Chu Yuyan appears as a hostage and Granny Nine rises, he invokes that agreement and openly accepts the possibility of sect war if she breaks it. After Meng Hao survives and Ling Yunzi moves, Chi Long tries to force his way out of the temple, but Ling Yunzi blocks him and Godmaster threatens both Horde patriarchs with death if they leave. Defeat and settlement

When the factions gather publicly, Chi Long concedes that the Horde was wrong in its conduct outside the sect and offers to bear the resources needed to open the Windswept Realm. He nevertheless demands an accounting for Meng Hao's killings within the Nine Seas God World. Meng Hao exposes the hostage tactic in front of the sect, and the narration confirms that Chi Long had approved it on the assumption that both Meng Hao and the evidence would disappear.
