Patriarch Wu

Patriarch Wu, identified as Wu Ling by Godmaster, is one of the two Dao Realm patriarchs of the Demonic Cultivator Horde. He is distinct from the red-haired Demonic patriarch: the local text explicitly treats the red-haired old man and the patriarch surnamed Wu as two separate people.

Biography

Nine Seas and the Windswept Realm

When Meng Hao captures thirty-three Demonic disciples after being attacked, Patriarch Wu intervenes from deep within the Nine Seas God World. His pressure changes natural law and churns the Ninth Sea, while a giant finger carrying Essence descends toward Meng Hao. Ling Yunzi blocks the finger and identifies the unseen attacker as Elder Brother Wu. Wu argues that Meng Hao killed and abducted members of his Horde, but Ling Yunzi invokes sect law: attackers of a conclave disciple bear responsibility for the counterattack. (Chapter 1039)

During the later trap against Meng Hao, Wu and the other Demonic patriarch join the two human Dao Realm experts in restraining Granny Nine's senior bloc. When the scheme fails and Long Tianhai is captured, the full group gathers to adjudicate the crisis. The red-haired patriarch speaks for the Horde, while Wu separately nods acceptance of Godmaster's settlement; this distinction corrects the previous conflation of their identities. Wu later watches Meng Hao's golden-gate wager with the other patriarchs. (Chapters 1070–1075)

Patriarch Wu remains connected to the Windswept expedition through the sect's combined Dao Realm formation. When the Windswept Realm rebels and severs that connection, he and the other patriarchs tremble and cough blood as their pillars of light collapse. The backlash shows that even Dao Realm reach depends on a maintained link to the target world. (Chapters 1080–1115)

Appearance and personality

The corpus supplies no reliable individual portrait and does not identify him as the red-haired elder. He is cold, ancient-voiced, and strongly protective of Horde members, initially describing only Meng Hao's retaliation while ignoring the attacks that provoked it. He nevertheless accepts Godmaster's settlement when the faction lacks support to escalate.

Abilities and cultivation

Dao Realm pressure and Essence

Wu's remote intervention makes natural law change and the entire Ninth Sea seethe. The manifested finger carries an Essence aura and is immediately recognized as Dao Realm power. Meng Hao cannot resist it directly, but Ling Yunzi can meet and dissipate it, showing that the projection is overwhelming to juniors rather than unstoppable against another patriarch.

Remote manifestation

He can attack from the depths of the sect without showing his body, condensing pressure into a gigantic finger. This reach lets him police conflicts involving the Horde, although distance and political opposition matter: Ling Yunzi blocks the strike and the prior sect agreement prevents Wu from simply pursuing Meng Hao afterward.

Factional and formation authority

As one of two Horde patriarchs, Wu contributes to a coalition capable of restraining other Dao Realm leaders and to the large-scale connection with the Windswept Realm. Both powers are collective. The coalition weakens after the hostage plot is exposed, and the world-link can be severed from the other side with enough backlash to injure every connected patriarch.
