Centipede Cultivator

The Centipede Cultivator is one of seven poison cultivators guarding the Spirit Mountain Three Villages and performing the full-moon red-rope ritual.

Biography

Encounter at the seven valleys

The Centipede Cultivator approaches Meng Hao on an enormous condor alongside the Spirit Snake Cultivator. He is a thin, dark-faced man in interwoven blue-and-green robes, with a foot-long, vividly colored centipede rocking on his shoulder. His eighth-level Qi Condensation cultivation is lower than the ninth-level leaders around him, but his poisonous companion marks him as part of the villages’ shared cultivation tradition. After Meng Hao demonstrates dangerous poison power and establishes an Immortal’s Cave, the seven cultivators decide not to fight directly. They expect the valley’s full-moon miasma to kill him and conceal their plan behind a warning about the danger. The Centipede Cultivator participates in that collective decision and remains with the group rather than pursuing an independent attack. (Chapter 97)

Red-rope ritual and submission

At the full moon, all seven cultivators spit blood onto black metal fragments that combine into a broadsword, then pool their strength to pull the red rope from the mist-filled valley. Their ritual has previously produced poison, sealed beasts, and other rewards; this time they try to reach a deeper seal. The Centipede Cultivator’s contribution is one part of a seven-person formation, so the resulting force should not be credited to him alone. (Chapters 98–102)

The group unknowingly pulls Meng Hao out of the ancient cave after he reaches Foundation Establishment. Faced with an overwhelming realm gap, the cultivators bow. Meng Hao kills the Spirit Snake Cultivator but spares the remaining six. The Centipede Cultivator helps surrender the villages’ records, maps, poison formulas, pills, and knowledge, then respectfully sees Meng Hao depart. (Chapters 103–104)

Appearance and personality

He is about forty, very thin, and dark-faced, wearing robes woven in blue and green. A brightly colored poisonous centipede rests on his shoulder. He is hostile toward an outsider when protected by the group, but follows the Spirit Toad Village Chief’s cautious strategy. After Meng Hao’s breakthrough, he submits without attempting a futile act of revenge.

Abilities and cultivation

Eighth-level Qi Condensation

The Centipede Cultivator stands at the peak of the eighth level of Qi Condensation. That cultivation supports flight on a condor, poison-beast control, and participation in the ritual, but leaves him decisively weaker than Meng Hao even before the latter establishes his Foundation.

Poisonous centipede

His defining companion is a foot-long, multicolored centipede described as obviously extremely poisonous. The creature functions as both a mark of his poison lineage and a likely combat familiar. The supplied confrontation does not show a completed centipede attack, so effects beyond its stated toxicity remain unspecified.

Seven-person red-rope ritual

He contributes blood and a black metal fragment to a formation performed by seven cultivators. The fragments combine into a broadsword that helps stabilize the red rope while the group pulls. Their combined strength draws objects and sealed phenomena from a cave reaching toward the Milky Way Sea, but deeper pulls also release miasma, cold, spirits, and other dangers they cannot fully control.

Village poison knowledge

As one of the surviving custodians, he shares access to ancestral poison recipes, pills, maps, and ritual records. This is inherited communal knowledge rather than evidence that he personally created every formula.
