Demon Lord

The Demon Lord is the ruler of the Demon Army, the world enemy who conquers the Luka continent, and one of the principal forces behind Earth's final wave. He accumulates power through conquered worlds and consumed souls, but his final battle reveals that even his victories were shaped by Sherafina, who used him to gather power for Kang Shin. (Chapters 27, 109–122, and 341–348)

Biography

Awakening and the First Dungeon

The Demon Lord first appears in a flash-forward dream that shows Shin carrying Palludia out of a ruined Luka continent. He addresses her possessively as his “lovely Crown Princess,” calls Shin a Savior and Hero, and treats their escape as a temporary interruption rather than defeat. The vision establishes his confidence and theatrical manner before the events occur, while its unexplained prophetic source belongs to Shin's experience rather than a demonstrated power of the Demon Lord. (Chapter 27)

The actual Luka crisis begins with the Demon Lord defeating the world's Hero. The Hero wounds him critically before dying, forcing the Demon Lord into recovery, but the victory destroys the political confidence holding the continent together. Palludia's parents and surviving elites know brute strength is only one part of his campaign: he recruits traitors, plants spies among the Ehuir knights, and draws defenders away from the palace while his elite demons attack. His temporary physical weakness therefore does not stop the Demon Army from converting military victory into the collapse of the Ehuir Empire. (Chapters 109–120)

Shina joins him voluntarily, believing a place beside the Demon Lord will satisfy her ambition and make him her destined partner. Acting through her, he offers Shin's power as the price of her advancement and provides Soul Sucker, a weapon whose curse suppresses the freedom and explorer abilities of an entire party after stabbing one member. The plan nearly delivers Shin and Palludia together, but it fails when Shin resists long enough to kill Shina and evacuate the remaining loyal survivors. The Demon Lord loses an accomplice and prospective consort without exposing his injured body. (Chapters 121–122)

He confronts the escaping pair through a bat familiar because his real body is sleeping while it assimilates the Luka continent's power. The Demon Lord offers Palludia everything she wants if she comes to him, dismisses Heroes as scapegoats supported by petty blessings, and implies that Shin will eventually die. Palludia rejects him and Shin returns to Earth before the exchange can continue. Later, Sherafina identifies the Demon Lord's ability to open a pathway from a conquered world to Earth as an unprecedented danger, making the Luka victory the foundation of his attack on another world rather than the end of his expansion. (Chapters 122 and 254)

Final Wave and the Dungeon's End

During Earth's final wave, the Demon Army hides its decisive move behind land transmittances and mass attacks. Demons exploit public fear and resentment while their ruler waits inside a special dungeon on the Luka continent, a space that rejects ordinary dungeon support. Revival confirms his presence but waits for Shin because entering without the Hero would leave its members stripped of familiar power against an enemy already capable of conquering a world. The Demon Lord's delay is not presented as mercy: he has prepared Luka's red moon with billions of Earth souls and turned the battlefield itself into a trap. (Chapters 341–344)

When Shin arrives with Revival's strongest combatants, the Demon Lord first fights through a beautiful human-sized manifestation and dozens of clones. He fills the air with mana bullets, blood constructs, weapons, and spells, then reveals a true body larger than any being Shin has previously faced after the red moon is broken. The moon carries the resentment and mana of 2.3 billion people and drains or tears at everyone under its light. He sees the power concentrated in Shin and openly declares that he will take it, treating the Hero as the final step toward becoming sovereign of all worlds. (Chapters 344–345)

The confrontation also forces him to recognize Sherafina's manipulation. The Demon Lord discovers that the overwhelming dungeon energy reinforcing him was placed inside him without his knowledge and initially assumes it is his own achievement. At Shin's prompting he rejects and casts it aside, destroys the dungeon space, and draws on demonic and negative energy directly. He becomes more dangerous even after losing the borrowed reinforcement and concludes that he had blinded himself with power he could not control. Nevertheless, his response is not to abandon conquest; he resolves to seize Shin's genuine authority and step over Sherafina as well. (Chapters 344–346)

Revival's coordinated attacks gradually overcome his resilience. Kain severs an arm with divine power, Shin curses the Demon Lord's energy through concealed metal fragments, and a transformation amplified by Lilith's Temptation reduces his effective power to a quarter. Shin then restrains him with Enigma, cuts his enormous body in half, and absorbs the remaining particles when simple dismemberment does not kill him. The Demon Lord's last demonic energy and the Luka continent's power merge into Shin, while Sherafina immediately uses that concentration to begin the next stage of her plan. His pursuit of all worlds thus ends by delivering his accumulated power to the person he intended to consume. (Chapters 345–348)

Appearance and personality

The Demon Lord first communicates from a distance through a bat familiar. In the final battle, his initial humanoid manifestation is male and described as shockingly beautiful, but the corpus gives no reliable hair, eye, or skin colors for that form. His concealed true body is extraordinarily large, with a gigantic neck, at least one horn, and large bat-like wings. Black demonic energy emerges from wounds in place of ordinary blood, and his scale decreases when he compresses borrowed dungeon mana into his hand. (Chapters 122 and 344–346)

He is theatrical, arrogant, acquisitive, and intensely confident in hierarchy through power. The Demon Lord addresses opponents as if they are future subjects or possessions, treats romantic and political allegiance as extensions of conquest, and interprets suffering as proof of his advance toward godhood. He can reassess an error—most notably his dependence on Sherafina's power—but the insight only redirects his ambition toward a power he considers purer. Even while mutilated, he laughs at pain and continues proclaiming himself the future ruler of all worlds. (Chapters 27, 121–122, and 344–347)

Powers and abilities

The Demon Lord combines enormous personal mana, demonic authority, soul and energy absorption, rapid language-based magic, duplication, and control of a specially constructed battlefield. His power grows through conquest and negative energy, while the Luka world's power and hidden dungeon reinforcement temporarily magnify it. The final battle distinguishes those borrowed additions from his native demonic power and establishes that strong divine authorities, impurity-rejecting curses, charm, and Shin's absorption can overcome him. (Chapters 122, 254, and 344–347)

Demonic authority and energy

As the king of demons, the Demon Lord produces vast quantities of black demonic energy and shapes it into swords, tentacles, spears, explosions, defensive bursts, and countless beads. Individual mana bullets are described as capable of obliterating a large city, while a broad detonation can critically injure even Shin. His energy can devour some incoming damage and return vibration absorbed through an energy weapon. These effects come from mana specialized as demonic power; the corpus does not identify a separate class or acquisition event for his native authority. (Chapters 344–346)

He can draw negative energy from across Earth and use a continual stream of demonic energy to restore a body already covered in critical wounds. Even losing an arm or being cut in half does not immediately kill him. Regeneration is not unlimited, however: sustained attacks from Revival exhaust and destabilize his control, Shin's curse causes energy to leak and explode, and Lilith's Temptation reduces both his power and resistance. Once Enigma prevents escape, Shin's broader absorption authority consumes the energy sustaining him instead of allowing another recovery. (Chapters 345–347)

Absorption and conquered worlds

Defeating Luka's Hero lets the Demon Lord claim that world's power, though the process requires his wounded body to enter a deep sleep while assimilating it. The acquired authority eventually lets him open an interworld path to Earth. He also seeks to consume Shin and states that killing the Hero will make Shin's special power his, consistent with his larger ambition to accumulate rather than merely destroy. The exact first origin of this absorptive capacity is not supplied by the corpus. (Chapters 109–122, 254, and 344–347)

On Earth, he swallows billions of souls and stores their mana and resentment in Luka's red moon. Its light applies destructive pressure and draws power from living beings on Earth, making the moon both a reservoir and an area weapon. Shiva's and Zeus's powers can shatter it, depriving him of that prepared structure, but he retains immense demonic power afterward. At death, the direction of absorption reverses: Shin reduces him to particles and takes both his remaining energy and Luka's world power. (Chapters 344 and 347)

Language spells and combat magic

The Demon Lord's language spells bypass the ordinary preparatory stages of magic and manifest the effect held in his mind. According to Licorice, this makes them exceptionally fast and powerful at the cost of high mana consumption. They are difficult to detect or interrupt before activation and can strike multiple allies in sequence. Shin gradually begins to read their operation through repeated exposure, while Enigma-strengthened Steel and allies willing to shield one another reduce their effectiveness. (Chapter 346)

His other magic includes black projectiles, levitated and reinforced rocks, a blood river that produces humanoid attackers, meteor-like fragments, energy weapons, and wide-area explosions. He can use the environment as both ammunition and a magical foundation, but some visible techniques are strengthened by Sherafina's dungeon power and therefore are not purely his. The variety demonstrates broad combat control without establishing that every effect is a distinct named skill or permanently available outside his prepared domain. (Chapters 344–346)

Clones, familiars, and battlefield construction

The Demon Lord can speak through a remote bat familiar while his main body sleeps, allowing him to negotiate and threaten without exposing a critically injured body. In the final dungeon he produces dozens of humanoid clones, each carrying large reserves of mana and casting volleys, and can restore a beheaded manifestation elsewhere. Blood creatures similarly emerge from the battlefield. These extensions divide the party's attention, though Durga's power and coordinated attacks can erase the clones faster than they multiply. (Chapters 122 and 344)

He also creates an Event Dungeon that rejects Sherafina's ordinary support and contains a moon at an apparently impossible distance. The feat requires his own power and gives him control over terrain, blood, and incoming threats. It does not place him wholly outside Sherafina's influence: she secretly embeds dungeon power in him, and Shin detects that his side has been deprived of support while the Demon Lord is being reinforced. Once he expels that energy, the dungeon shatters, showing that the prepared space and borrowed reinforcement are connected but separable from his native strength. (Chapters 342–345)

Borrowed dungeon power and limits

Sherafina's mana lets the Demon Lord manipulate structures resembling dungeon effects and initially conceals the true basis of part of his strength. He can compress it and try to cast it away, but cannot properly control or even identify it until Shin exposes the discrepancy. Rejecting it prevents Sherafina from using him in the same way and leaves him able to absorb negative energy, yet it also strips away an enormous reservoir arranged for the battle. His ignorance is a strategic weakness created by Sherafina's information control rather than a lack of raw power. (Chapters 344–346)

The Luka Hero proves that the Demon Lord can be wounded badly enough to require prolonged recovery, and the Earth battle demonstrates additional counters. Divine weapons sever his body, Shin can steal or corrupt demonic energy, and Lilith's Temptation becomes devastating after Shin assumes a form that satisfies its opposite-sex condition. The final restraint through Enigma blocks escape at more than a physical level. His latest state is complete defeat and absorption; no surviving consciousness is established after his particles merge with Shin. (Chapters 109–122 and 345–347)

• Kang Shin: The Demon Lord first treats Shin as an intriguing otherworld Hero and later as the source of an authority he intends to steal. Shin disrupts his Luka scheme, challenges the borrowed power behind his final battlefield, and ultimately absorbs both the Demon Lord and Luka's world power. (Chapters 27, 121–122, and 344–348)
• Sherafina: Sherafina supplies information to the Demon Lord, connects the worlds his army invades, and secretly reinforces him with dungeon power. He believes his conquests serve his own rise until the final battle exposes that she has also treated him as a tool and sacrifice for Shin's growth. (Chapters 254 and 344–351)
• Palludia Gren Ehuir: The Demon Lord desires Palludia as the surviving crown princess of the world he conquered and offers to fulfill her wishes if she becomes his. She rejects him in Mitarus's name and escapes with Shin, but his presence remains a source of lasting trauma for her. (Chapters 27 and 109–125)
• Shina Gren Ehuir: Shina allies herself with the Demon Lord out of ambition and believes she can gain the place beside him. He arms her plan to capture Shin and Palludia, but loses her when Shin overcomes Soul Sucker's suppression and kills her. (Chapters 121–122)
• Licorice: The Demon Lord recognizes Licorice as a powerful and attractive demonic ruler and orders her to join him after Shin's death. She refuses, gives Shin mana, identifies the mechanics of the Demon Lord's language spells, and helps create the conditions for his defeat. (Chapters 345–347)
• Kain: Kain's divine spear severs the Demon Lord's arm and helps turn a battle sustained by regeneration into one of accumulating permanent damage. The Demon Lord continues fighting, but Kain's intervention is one of the attacks that leaves his body vulnerable to Shin's final restraint. (Chapters 345–347)

Items

The Demon Lord creates or empowers major magical weapons but is not shown carrying a persistent signature artifact. Soul Sucker is a sword made with his power and entrusted to Shina; stabbing Shin with it inflicts a lethal wound and suppresses his entire party. The red moon is a constructed reservoir containing the mana and resentment of 2.3 billion consumed souls, used as a battlefield-scale weapon until divine power destroys it. (Chapters 121 and 344)
