Aikan

Aikan is the former divine beast of the ocean kingdom Zenyt, defeated after El Patiz deploys it against the Panan rescue party and then raised by Daisy Ectradion. As an undead servant, the immense sea guardian preserves much of its intelligence and defensive power and becomes a flying transport, mobile refuge, and battlefield shield for Revival. Biography

From guardian to undead transport

Aikan originally protects Zenyt before appearing as an enemy during the escape from Panan. After the party defeats the enormous guardian, Daisy concentrates on converting its body rather than allowing the asset to be lost. The newly raised undead immediately carries the refugees and their protectors away, answers Daisy intelligently, and shields its passengers while traveling through and above the sea. It is large enough to transport Crystal Lair and the rescued children on its back, though Daisy can barely return such a massive servant to storage. (Chapters 194–198)

Revival's mobile fortress

Aikan becomes one of Daisy's strongest undead. Its cry eliminates weak monsters, its mouth draws enemies inward, and light surrounding its body disperses attacks before its thick skin must absorb them. Revival later uses its broad back as a high-speed travel platform and even a campsite. During the final campaign Aikan enters a defensive mode and remains alert enough to react to Shin while he is concealed, warning Daisy through its movement. Appearance and personality

Aikan is a gigantic tuna-like sea beast, large enough to carry a group of travelers, the Crystal Lair, and a temporary camp on its back. Although shaped for the sea, its undead form can also fly. Aikan retains intelligence after resurrection, responding to Daisy's orders and conveying warnings rather than behaving as an unthinking corpse. Mobility and transport

Aikan can swim, submerge, and fly while carrying a large party and heavy structures on its back. It travels at high speed across long distances and can lure pursuing monsters away from other targets. These traits make it more than a mount: it functions as a mobile base from which travelers can rest, prepare food, and organize before battle. (Chapters 195–198, 314, and 317)

Guardian defenses and attacks

Aikan releases mana waves and destructive cries, creates a light barrier, draws enemies toward its mouth with suction, and protects itself with thick skin and a dedicated defense mode. Light surrounding its body can dissipate incoming attacks before they land. These defenses are powerful but finite: vast monster swarms can stall or overwhelm its progress, and Daisy cannot deploy Aikan at the same time as Laki, forcing her to select the large undead best suited to the current operation.
