Yun Li
Yun Li is a gifted Consolidating Equipment Master whose pride draws him into a life-changing contest with Zhou Weiqing. What begins as compulsory service develops into a voluntary partnership: Yun Li becomes one of the technical specialists who equip the Peerless Battalion, a capable if secondary combatant, and the prospective husband of Dou Dou.
Biography
Pride wagered against a younger craftsman
Yun Li enters the Fei Li Jewel Master Trade Center with the reputation of being its youngest High Level Consolidating Equipment Master. Offended by Zhou Weiqing's public claim that he could attract followers with the promise of eventually becoming a God Tier Master, Yun Li tears down the sign and accepts a contest in which his freedom is set against Zhou's life. His confidence is not empty: he has more than ten years of additional experience, produces stable designs and ink, and can complete a scroll set with remarkable speed. His pride and temper nevertheless make him vulnerable to Zhou's carefully structured contest, and the ten-piece Legendary Set design finally forces him to concede. (Chapters 55–58)
Yun Li accepts the Blood Rites—Seal of Darkness rather than break his word. Zhou immediately gives him two possible paths to freedom and asks him to act as a friend rather than a slave, preserving the ambition that made him valuable in the first place. Their next wager against Lin TianAo makes the practical basis of that partnership clear: Yun Li supplies a concentrated Spatial attack while Zhou controls the defender and draws out his last protection. The victory wins them another ally and begins replacing Yun Li's humiliation with respect for Zhou's judgment and abnormal potential. (Chapters 58–60)
A voluntary place in the Peerless project
When Fei Li rejects Zhou after the Heavenly Jewel Tournament, Yun Li leaves the academy with him rather than seeking an independent career. He serves as a mobile defender during the group's passage through the Ghost Demon Forest, helps protect Zhou's household from attackers, and reaches the Consolidating Equipment Grandmaster rank. His growing attachment to Dou Dou also gives him a personal reason to remain: what begins with fascination at her talent becomes affection for her innocent character and a determination to care for her. By the time Zhou builds the Peerless Battalion, Yun Li is no longer treated as a bound follower. He and Dou Dou instead work as trusted specialists, producing hundreds of bow and wing scroll sets while being kept away from exposed front-line positions because the army depends on their output. Their collaboration advances his craft rapidly, and Zhou entrusts him with funds and material purchases while renewing their friendly race toward God Tier. Tournament proof and a future with Dou Dou
Yun Li joins the Heavenly Bow Battle Team in the next Heavenly Jewel Tournament. Against Bai Qiu, he hides his weakness in Consolidated Equipment, feigns being cornered, then combines Spatial Explosive Propulsion, compressed Spatial energy, Blink, Spatial Freeze, and his spike in a sudden reversal. The victory demonstrates that his craft-first development has not made him helpless, though both Zhou and Yun Li acknowledge that combat is not his strongest field. When Yun Li later volunteers to face the Dan Dun team, Zhou refuses to risk him because he feels answerable to Dou Dou, revealing how thoroughly Yun Li has become part of the group's personal as well as professional bonds. On Heavenly Jewel Island, Dou Dou's master Xing Tianyi approves their relationship after Yun Li offers three designs from his family's Legendary Set legacy. Xing Tianyi promises to create those pieces for him, while the island's three God Tier Masters give him ten days of direct guidance and recognize his prospects as a future God Tier Master. Yun Li accepts Zhou's decision that he should not enter the unstable Lustre Spatial Realm, then follows the contingency order to return to Heavenly Bow with the team's money—technical expertise and resources the rebuilding empire cannot afford to lose. Appearance and personality
Yun Li first appears as a relatively handsome man of about thirty, with short black hair and proud, almost disdainful eyes. He wears robes associated with Heavenly Jewel Masters and publicly advertises himself as both a High Level Consolidating Equipment Master and a lower-level Zun Stage practitioner. His composure while working contrasts with the arrogance of his ordinary manner: at the brush, his hands are stable, firm, and patient even under the pressure of a life-changing bet. (Chapters 55–56)
He is competitive, rash when his professional dignity is challenged, and openly pleased by his own successes. Those traits persist even after he becomes an ally—he and Zhou regularly needle one another about combat and scroll-making progress—but they coexist with professional discipline and a genuine capacity for loyalty. He keeps his wager, follows difficult orders, protects Dou Dou without taking advantage of her innocence, and ultimately continues serving after his enforced follower status has ended. Abilities and cultivation
Yun Li begins with four Dragonstone Jade Physical Jewels aligned to Agility and four Gold-Green Cat's Eye Elemental Jewels aligned to Spatial energy. By the later tournament he has six Jewels, twenty-seven stages of Heavenly Energy, and is one step from both his seventh Jewel and the Zong Stage of Consolidating Equipment Mastery. Consolidating Equipment craft
Agility makes Yun Li exceptionally fast with the brush, while years of practice give him steady design work, precise ink preparation, and consistent execution. A demanding new set of Mid Level scrolls can still require roughly eight hours of continuous work and as much as half a month of recovery, showing that speed does not remove the spiritual cost of production. Working beside Dou Dou exposes him to higher teachings and dramatically increases his output; later, three God Tier Masters approve his foundation and guide him directly. His long-term objective is a nine-piece Legendary Set whose designs come from his family legacy. Because he does not expect to reach the Heavenly God stage and gain spare Consolidating slots, he avoids filling most of his Jewels with temporary equipment. Spatial combat
Yun Li fights through mobility, control, and compressed bursts rather than sustained close combat. Blink changes his position; Spatial Freeze arrests an opponent for an instant; Spatial Explosive Propulsion produces sudden acceleration; and compressed Spatial energy can disrupt an incoming technique or detonate through his spike. Two compressed Skills on the spike can reach the destructive force expected of a seven-Jeweled practitioner, but the combination depends on timing and deception. His limited equipment and lower direct-combat refinement make prolonged exchanges against fully equipped peers unfavorable. (Chapters 60 and 215–216)

Relationships
