Xing Tianyi

Xing Tianyi is the white-haired head of the three God Tier Consolidating Equipment Masters based on Heavenly Jewel Island. He evaluates Zhou Weiqing's Solidified Dragon Spirit and Legacy of Strength designs, directs the crafting of Zhou's tournament rewards, and raises Dou Dou as his adopted daughter and direct disciple.

Biography

Tournament rewards and entrusted disciple

Xing receives Zhou after the Fei Li Battle Team's tournament victory and quickly recognizes two exceptional inheritances: the Solidified Dragon Spirit embedded in Zhou and the design lineage of the Hate Ground No Handle set. His interest in the complete designs is intense, but he and the other two masters refuse to take them by force. They instead offer their own materials and labor in exchange for permission to study the legacy, then accept that Zhou must ask his teacher before sharing it. This combination of professional hunger and respect for a sect's ownership defines Xing's approach to rare craft knowledge. (Chapter 108)

He divides the reward work according to expertise, taking responsibility for ink and Zhou's three Legendary Set pieces while Wei Yang and Ye Ruichen extend Lin TianAo's Assembly Set Shield. The three also teach Zhou for thirty-seven days. When Zhou leaves Heavenly Jewel Island, Xing sends his sheltered adopted daughter Dou Dou with him so she can experience the outside world, choosing Zhou because his defense of the mother dragon demonstrates character rather than merely power. Dou Dou's safety remains the condition attached to that trust, and Zhou later keeps her in the protected rear of the Peerless Battalion for that reason. (Chapters 108–114 and 133)

Yun Li's proposal and later reputation

Years later, Yun Li formally seeks Xing's approval to marry Dou Dou. Xing agrees that she may leave after the tournament when Yun Li offers three Legendary Set designs as a bride price. The exchange is also professional: Xing promises to create the corresponding scrolls for Yun Li and arranges further instruction from all three God Tier masters. Approval therefore recognizes both Yun Li's personal commitment and his place within the craft lineage Xing has built around his daughter. (Chapters 225–226)

Xing's last corpus reference places his achievement in historical perspective rather than depicting a new scene. Duan Tianlang's creation of an unprecedented eleventh Ringless Ground Purging piece is contrasted with Xing's role as a preserver of existing work. The comparison does not diminish Xing's established mastery; it distinguishes his documented strength—maintaining, evaluating, and transmitting the highest craft traditions—from Duan's singular act of invention. (Chapter 765)

Appearance and personality

Xing is an old man with white hair and beard, apparently about twenty years older than the two God Tier masters beside him. His bright eyes retain a look of deep wisdom even though the rest of him appears close to the grave, and he describes himself as being in his twilight years. He is sufficiently aged to wonder whether he will live to see Zhou reach nine Jewels and awaken the Solidified Dragon Spirit's skills. (Chapter 108)

He is scholarly, direct, and deeply motivated by rare Consolidating Equipment knowledge. The Legacy of Strength designs visibly excite him, yet he does not confuse access with ownership and accepts Zhou's duty to consult his teacher. His guardianship of Dou Dou shows a paternal, cautious side: he has sheltered her since infancy, then deliberately sends her out when insulation becomes a limit on her growth. He judges the people around her by character and professional dedication as well as talent. (Chapters 108–114 and 225–226)

Abilities and cultivation

Xing is described as both the leading God Tier Consolidating Equipment Master of his era and a powerful Heavenly Jewel Master, but the corpus does not state his Jewel count, attributes, or named combat skills. His demonstrated authority is therefore technical rather than martial. He can identify a Solidified Dragon Spirit, estimate when it would normally activate, and interpret Legendary Set designs with only brief examination. (Chapters 108, 114, and 131)

God Tier design and production

Xing's craft covers design analysis, Consolidating Ink preparation, God Tier scroll production, and coordinated work with other masters. He, Wei Yang, and Ye Ruichen spend more than thirty years designing two nine-piece Legendary Sets of their own, illustrating both their ability and the time required for top-level original work. With complete designs available, Xing directs the three-person production of Zhou's Legendary pieces and later undertakes three of Yun Li's pieces. The corpus does not isolate which finished strokes belong to Xing alone, so collaborative products should not be credited solely to him. (Chapters 108 and 226)

Teaching and preservation

Xing trains Dou Dou from childhood to near the Zong Stage of the crafting profession and arranges advanced instruction for both Zhou and Yun Li. His methods are not detailed as a named technique, but their effects are visible in the competence of his disciple and in the structured collaboration of the Island's three masters. The later description of him as one who preserves what has been created captures this function: he authenticates lineages, keeps designs usable, and passes high-level knowledge forward, while the corpus reserves the greater claim of original eleventh-piece invention for Duan Tianlang. (Chapters 110–114, 225–226, and 765)

Relationships

  • Dou Dou: Xing adopts Dou Dou as an infant, raises her on Heavenly Jewel Island, and makes her his direct disciple. He entrusts her to Zhou for worldly experience and later approves her marriage to Yun Li.
  • Zhou Weiqing: Xing recognizes Zhou's inheritances, helps create his tournament rewards, and teaches him for thirty-seven days. His willingness to place Dou Dou under Zhou's protection rests on Zhou's conduct toward the dragons in the Lustre Spatial Realm.
  • Yun Li: Yun Li seeks Xing's approval as Dou Dou's master and guardian. Xing accepts the proposal, trades three completed Legendary Set scrolls and further instruction for three of Yun Li's inherited designs, and allows Dou Dou to leave with him.
  • Duan Tianlang: The two are not shown collaborating, but the late narrative compares their legacies: Xing preserves and transmits established masterworks, whereas Duan creates an unprecedented extension to one.

Items

No distinct notable item is assigned to Xing Tianyi. His important works are Consolidating Equipment designs and scrolls created collaboratively or for other characters rather than a named possession of his own.
