Dou Dou

Dou Dou is Xing Tianyi's adopted daughter and direct disciple, a sheltered but exceptional Consolidating Equipment Master whom he entrusts to Zhou Weiqing. Her journey into the outside world turns her specialized training into the production base behind the Peerless Battalion, while her partnership with Yun Li develops into a settled marriage match.

Biography

Leaving Heavenly Jewel Island under Zhou's protection

Xing Tianyi adopts Dou Dou as an infant and raises her entirely on Heavenly Jewel Island. Because that protected life leaves her with almost no understanding of ordinary society, he sends the twenty-three-year-old Grandmaster with Zhou to gain experience, trusting Zhou after his defense of the mother dragon in the Lustre Spatial Realm. The danger of that decision becomes immediate during an assassination attempt: despite claiming she does not know how to beat people, Dou Dou places herself between Zhou and four attackers, uses Spatial power to repel them, and refuses to let them hurt the person responsible for feeding her. Her effortless scroll work soon humbles Yun Li, whose admiration for her craft and innocence becomes romantic interest even though she does not initially understand it. (Chapters 110–116)

Supplying the Peerless Battalion

Zhou keeps Dou Dou and Yun Li in the protected rear and assigns them the sustained production of Consolidated Bows and Wings. The arrangement converts her narrow craft focus into strategic capacity: the pair complete hundreds of scroll sets, keep production running from Tianbei City, and gradually equip the entire Peerless force. Wings remain the bottleneck because their complex design requires two scroll components for each set, but by the time Dou Dou breaks through to Zong Stage, five thousand archers have bows and seventeen hundred soldiers have Wings; with five additional craftsmen, the team expects to finish the remainder. Returning as a master and prospective bride

Dou Dou later joins Shangguan Xue'er's ZhongTian Battle Team for the next Heavenly Jewel Tournament, although the recorded tournament scenes do not give her a personal bout. Yun Li separately seeks Xing Tianyi's permission to marry her and offers three Legendary Set designs as bride price. Xing accepts him and agrees that Dou Dou may leave the island with the group, bringing her progression from sheltered apprentice to Zong Stage master and established partner to a clear personal resolution. Appearance and personality

Dou Dou is petite and slender, with delicate hands and above-average rather than exceptional beauty. She is older than the Shangguan sisters but often behaves like a much younger girl because she has been insulated from the wider world. (Chapters 110 and 114)

Food is her overriding everyday interest. She travels without complaint if she can keep eating, follows people who offer snacks, and can become lost even on a short trip to the toilet, leading Zhou to call her “Little Miss Muddle.” The same simplicity makes her trusting and emotionally oblivious, but it also lets her concentrate on cultivation and scroll creation without distraction. Her instinctive defense of Zhou and praise of Crow's inner character show that naïveté is not indifference: her judgments are uncomplicated but compassionate. (Chapters 110–116)

Abilities and cultivation

Dou Dou is a seven-Jeweled Heavenly Jewel Master. Her Dragonstone Jade Physical Jewels enhance Agility, and her Alexandrite Elemental Jewels hold the Spatial and Wind Attributes. A silver Spatial flash lets her interpose herself before attackers too quickly for observers to follow, while a silver screen drives four men backward about ten yards. Her limitation is practical rather than energetic: she has strong cultivation and self-defense but little combat experience and explicitly says she does not know how to beat people. (Chapter 114)

As a Consolidating Equipment Master, she begins as a Grandmaster already close to Zong Stage and can finish a scroll in the time of roughly three breaths while handling four brushes at once. Her talent is supported by rare attributes, elite instruction, abundant cultivation resources, and an unusually focused disposition. Sustained production with Yun Li advances her to Zong Stage by Chapter 187 and increases their output, though complex two-part Wings still require substantial time even after repeated practice. Relationships

• Xing Tianyi: Xing is Dou Dou's adoptive father, master, and lifelong guardian. He sends her into the world only after choosing an escort he trusts, then retains authority over whether she may leave the island with Yun Li.
• Zhou Weiqing: Zhou acts as escort, protector, employer, and source of comic food-based persuasion. Dou Dou repays that care by defending him and supplying the equipment central to his army.
• Yun Li: Shared scroll work brings Yun Li close to Dou Dou and improves his craft through her open instruction. His feelings begin before she recognizes them, but Xing Tianyi's later approval establishes their match.
• Shangguan Xue'er: Xue'er takes Dou Dou back to Heavenly Jewel Island and includes her in the ZhongTian Battle Team, treating her cultivation and Spatial Attribute as useful even though she lacks comparable combat technique.
