Julie de Beaufort

Julie de Beaufort is introduced as Elizabeth's secret twin sister, an identical-looking woman who escapes Tartarus and becomes a target of the Eternals. The late history refines that identity: Elizabeth says Julie is actually “her” from another universe, who came into the current universe's past and gave birth to Amelia. Julie is therefore presented socially as Elizabeth's twin while being chronologically an alternate-universe counterpart, not a clone or reincarnation created inside the current timeline. Biography

The hidden twin and the flight from Tartarus

Julie first appears in a photograph shown to the Grand Expedition. Kane reports that she escaped Tartarus, later returned, and hid within the Abyss of Nightmares, while people from Luminera recognize her as someone who looks exactly like Elizabeth and shares her surname. Neo and Zera already know the twin-sister explanation but delay telling Elizabeth, leaving the disappearance embedded in family secrecy as well as the expedition's search for a route home. (Chapters 418 and 438)

Outside Tartarus, Fate draws Julie to the dying Percival. She makes his rescue conditional on a golden coin whose hidden rules favor people able to assist the resistance, then reverses the time of his body and repairs his Core. When her wristwatch signals that she has been found, Julie leaves and removes memories of her appearance from Percival and Sunshine. The healing, conditional test, and concealment all belong to Julie, not to Elizabeth. (Chapters 456–457)

Ultris and fifteen thousand years of pursuit

Percival and Morrigan di Montaigne spend fifteen thousand years searching for Julie because they hope she can lead them outside the Golden Domain and eventually back to Elizabeth. They find her on a beach just as Veydran, leader of the Eternals, demands the location of a hidden child. Julie stays relaxed because Ultris joins her, making a solitary attack too inconvenient for Veydran to attempt. (Chapters 689–690 and 704–705)

After Veydran withdraws, Julie admits why the reversal matters to her. Years earlier she lost everything to the Eternals and had to flee; now their leader must leave while his objective remains in front of him. Her satisfaction does not end the fugitive life, however, and she declines to return with the searchers for the time being. Ultris is her protector, ally, and co-planner in this period, not another body or reincarnation of Julie. (Chapters 690 and 705)

Amelia and the Devil of Cruelty plan

Neo first reconstructs that Amelia is Julie and Poseidon's daughter from the Age of Gods, even though Poseidon never reincarnated, raising the possibility that Julie traveled into the past. The later disclosure confirms the essential chronology: Julie came from another universe, entered the past, gave birth to Amelia, hid her, and left ancestral murals that disguised the fifth Devil behind a public story of Four Devils. Elizabeth's later acceptance of Amelia as “my daughter” reflects their counterpart relationship; it does not make Elizabeth the author of Julie's plan. (Chapters 742 and 801)

Julie and Ultris prepare the Ouroboros mark, Void Gods, Karax, Soul Weapons, and Grim Reaper training as ordeals meant to awaken Amelia as the Devil of Cruelty. Neo repeatedly takes the dangers and resulting growth onto himself, disrupting the design. Julie responds by threatening to remove Amelia from his Cosmos if he proves unworthy, showing that her opposition to Apollyon does not soften the coercion she accepts toward her daughter. A previous-Eon document motivates the plan, but Neo later concludes that its “Order” means Cosmos rather than Apollyon, exposing their central interpretive mistake. (Chapters 781 and 825)

The failed escape and the family bargain

When Veydran arrives with a vast force, Ultris stays behind and orders Julie to carry Neo toward the True Blessed Land. Julie shields the weakened Neo, manifests her Technique Spirit Galaxus against an Eternal, and explains the Temporal Frequency Beams being used to erase them. With escape collapsing, she chants Dragon Tongue despite her body rupturing and invokes Displace, losing her tongue and an arm while sending Neo away. Neo reaches the wrong destination with only the severed arm and later believes Julie may have died because of him. (Chapters 782–784 and 801)

Julie's disappearance also serves a family plan revealed by Paul, Elizabeth's spell-born son. Paul says he cooperated with Julie so Elizabeth would die and Julie could reincarnate their family in a peaceful universe; Clara later lives normally in another universe through Julie and Ultris. Paul's attack remains Paul's act, and Elizabeth's forgiveness remains Elizabeth's choice. Julie is eventually restored to life by Beelzebub alongside Ultris and Daniel, returning the original planner rather than creating a duplicate replacement. (Chapters 813–814 and 832)

Appearance and personality

Julie has silver-white hair, blood-red eyes, and a face close enough to Elizabeth's that Percival calls her by Elizabeth's name and other characters use the resemblance to infer a twin. Her first direct scene gives her a playful smirk, while her later beach appearance presents her in sunglasses and relaxed beachwear even with Veydran standing over her. The visual identity is a deliberate story clue, but it does not erase their separate actions and histories. (Chapters 418, 438, 456, and 689)

She combines playfulness with severe conditional judgment. Julie jokes about killing Percival for wasting her time and settles the decision through a rigged-but-rule-bound coin, yet honors the result and completely heals him. With Neo, she is colder: she calls Karax trash, threatens to take Amelia from Neo's Cosmos, and physically attacks Neo when he hesitates to call Moraine during their escape. Her resistance ethic makes survival more important than consent or affection. (Chapters 456–457, 781, and 784)

Julie is also capable of sacrifice and long commitment. She hides from the Eternals for millennia, builds a multigenerational plan with Ultris, and destroys her own body to send Neo away after Ultris stays behind. These acts explain why part of Neo believes she pursued a greater good, but they do not excuse the engineered suffering imposed on Amelia, Elizabeth, Paul, and other True Soul Weapon users. (Chapters 690, 781–784, 801, and 813)

Powers and limitations

Time reversal and concealment

Julie can reverse the time of a living body, returning Percival's blood, repairing his Core, and restoring him from the brink of death. She also removes her appearance from the memories of Percival and Sunshine and leaves no ordinary trace behind. The Eternals can still repeatedly detect or reconstruct her recent locations, however, forcing her to rely on warning devices, rapid departure, and hidden Fate rather than treating concealment as absolute. (Chapters 456–457, 535, and 689)

Fate-conditioned coin

Julie's golden coin is not a fair random gamble. A person wins only by satisfying conditions tied to joining or assisting the resistance in the past or future, and the coin itself reacts when Percival qualifies. The scene demonstrates Julie encoding Fate-related criteria into an object or test, but does not establish the coin as a separately catalogued artifact or explain whether the judgment comes from Julie, the coin, or their combination. (Chapter 457)

Galaxus, spells, and Displace

Galaxus is Julie's Technique Spirit, a mass of swirling tundra large enough to span multiple galaxies and form limbs against an Eternal. Julie also casts numerous defensive spells during the pursuit and can use Dragon Tongue despite not being a dragon, at severe bodily cost. Her final “Displace” relocates Neo across the Cosmos, but cuts her tongue and leaves an arm traveling with him. The escape's wrong destination and apparent death show that the technique is neither safe nor perfectly controlled under pressure. (Chapters 783–784)

Resistance and uncertainty of rank

Julie can help deter Veydran when paired with Ultris, seal Karax with a gesture, and resist multiple Eternals long enough to move Neo. None of those feats supplies a formal Demigod rank, Godhood stage, grade, cultivation Step, or other level. The unidentified Stage-4 visitor mentioned during the Eternals' Tartarus investigation is not explicitly Julie. Her strength must therefore be described through demonstrated actions rather than reverse-engineered into a rank. (Chapters 535, 689–690, and 781–784)

Relationships

Elizabeth

Julie is initially described by Neo and others as Elizabeth's hidden twin sister. Elizabeth later rejects the ordinary sibling explanation and identifies Julie as herself from another universe, one who entered the current universe's past. The narrative still uses their twin-like appearance and family relationship, but keeps their agency separate: Julie creates the Amelia plan and works with Paul, while Elizabeth protects her family, learns the history, and decides whether to forgive. (Chapters 418, 438, 781, 801, and 813)

Amelia de Beaufort and Poseidon

Amelia is Julie's daughter with Poseidon, conceived in the Age of Gods after Julie travels into the past. Julie hides her and engineers ordeals intended to awaken the Devil of Cruelty, treating that role as a weapon against what she believes is Order. Poseidon never reincarnates and is not Seraph, so the source does not support moving the conception into a later reincarnation or crediting Amelia's birth to Elizabeth. (Chapters 742, 781, and 801)

Ultris

Ultris protects Julie when Veydran finds her and collaborates with her on Amelia's ordeals, the family relocation, and the reading of the previous-Eon document. During the failed escape he stays behind to fight while assigning Julie to carry Neo onward. Their alliance spans resistance strategy and personal survival, but neither is a temporal copy, reincarnation, or alternate body of the other. (Chapters 689–690, 781–784, 814, and 825)

Percival and Morrigan di Montaigne

Julie saves Percival without allowing him to remember her, then spends millennia avoiding the search conducted by Percival and Morrigan. They pursue her because Morrigan wants to reach Elizabeth and because Julie appears to know a route outside the Golden Domain. Julie's eventual refusal to return keeps the relationship asymmetric: she once preserves Percival as a potential resistance asset, but does not accept his later goals as commands. Paul and the Beaufort family

Paul is Elizabeth's spell-born son who collaborates with Julie in a plan to kill Elizabeth and restart the family elsewhere. Clara's later peaceful life in another universe is credited to Julie and Ultris, showing that the promised escape was not wholly fabricated. That outcome does not make Paul Julie's son or transfer his attempted matricide to her as a direct physical act; it establishes conspiracy, shared purpose, and Julie's willingness to use family death as a transition. Julie carries a golden coin whose concealed conditions decide whether Percival qualifies for rescue and a wristwatch that warns her when pursuers locate her. Neither object receives a separately catalogued article. The Replica of Poseidon's Trident belongs to Elizabeth's history and later custody chain; Julie's relationship to Poseidon and the ancestral murals does not make her the replica's demonstrated owner or wielder.
