Ilyana

Ilyana Veycoris-Drasthel is a Stage 6 God, Queen of the Drasthel Kingdom, and one of the nine leaders of the Forgotten Suns. The present Ilyana is explicitly the reincarnation whom Jack Hanma met while rebuilding his life during her family's heir trial. She later hides Earth from the Alliance, negotiates an engagement that extends her family's protection to the planet, and supplies its people without demanding further compensation. Her commitment remains political and protective before it becomes reciprocal: Jack says that she likes him but that he does not want another relationship, while the final rewritten history names her among his three brides. (Chapters 690–707, 722, and 839)

As a ruler, Ilyana leads a multi-world kingdom into a knowingly unequal war. Her Complete World produces enormous life-bearing vines that heal soldiers, and she burns half her Core to break a resonance formed by fourteen enemy Stage 6 Gods. The immediate outcome after the Alliance and Ancient Dragons overwhelm the battlefield is not narrated for her, but Chapter 839 establishes that she exists in the final history and marries Jack. The text does not explain how her Core recovers, whether she finishes her family inheritance, or how the history rewrite bridges those scenes. (Chapters 754–759 and 839)

Biography

Reincarnation, heir trial, and a protective engagement

Jack meets the present Ilyana after Layla destroys his Core and he begins again on another planet. He calls her “Illyana's reincarnation” and explains that her family sends its heirs through a trial in which they must start without support and prove themselves. Jack rebuilds his strength under those conditions, but does not describe the current Ilyana as inheriting her previous incarnation's ranks or deeds. Her own succession remains incomplete much later: although her family knows how to leave the Golden Domain, she cannot receive that secret until she completes the inheritance and becomes family head. (Chapters 705 and 707)

When the Alliance hunts Earth, Ilyana offers a bargain that makes her Jack's fiancée in exchange for her family's protection. Jack separately acknowledges that she likes him, yet says he is tired and does not want another relationship; the arrangement therefore begins as negotiated protection, not proof of mutual romance. Roughly twelve thousand years before Neo's return, Ilyana welcomes Earth under her wing, conceals it from the Alliance, and negotiates with the then-Stage 4 Jack rather than conquering his world. By her first on-page appearance, she is one of nine Forgotten Suns leaders and is already recognized as Earth's protector. (Chapters 690–691 and 707)

Earth's guardian and Jack's advocate

Ilyana's first present action is to offer Earth reinforcements after Amelia reports danger. Arthur refuses, but Ilyana has already resolved to follow because she fears that someone belonging to Earth will be harmed. At the Forgotten Suns base, she also recognizes Arthur's fury toward Zeus and warns him telepathically not to attack a God who could crush him. Her intervention is characteristically protective without being passive: she speaks gently, reads the political danger, and prepares to act even without permission. (Chapter 690)

That instinct becomes violent when she arrives during Neo Hargraves's attack and finds Jack repeatedly killed by gravity. Ilyana restores the miniature solar system, pours potions into Jack, threatens Neo, and starts an incantation before Percival identifies Neo as a Heavenbreaker. Jack asks her to stop and let the conflict end; she reluctantly follows his decision. Later, her Stage 6 presence gives the Ancient Dragons pause, and she immediately agrees to call Forgotten Suns reinforcements when Jack and Felix warn her about them. (Chapters 700, 718, and 722)

Ilyana's protection extends beyond combat. Earth's Akashic Record is under her authority, and her awareness enters the underworld when Neo summons it, though she monitors rather than prevents the contact after Jack apparently intervenes. Jack reflects that she has given Earth resources, information, and manpower without asking anything in return, even while he has rejected her personally again and again. That contrast is central to their early bond: his discomfort and her unreciprocated interest do not cancel the practical alliance or her willingness to keep helping his people. (Chapters 711 and 722)

The Forgotten Suns divide

At Earth's strategy meeting, Ilyana tries to bring Neo and Jack under official Forgotten Suns support. She presents the organization as a force for equality that protects weaker worlds from stronger Gods and Awakeners, but Neo refuses because he intends to kill Zeus, one of its leaders. Ilyana remembers Zeus entering an Alliance base, killing a leader, and rescuing the Forgotten Suns' Supreme Leader; she considers an attempt on him both nearly impossible and incompatible with joining their side. The disagreement is strategic rather than a denial of Earth's debt to her. (Chapters 729–730)

Neo still takes only Jack on his operation. Ilyana accepts that Jack made the decision himself, returns to the Forgotten Suns, and privately asks Neo to take care of him. At headquarters, Kane Williams challenges the leaders' confidence in the protections granted by the Supreme of Space, arguing that their earlier defeat proves those defenses can be breached. Ilyana angrily objects, but the Supreme Leader accepts Kane's reasoning. The warning becomes consequential when the Alliance begins dismantling Forgotten Suns positions and attacks Ilyana's own worlds. (Chapters 731 and 738)

Jack then reverses their customary roles. On learning that Ilyana's world is under attack, he insists on going to help her rather than remaining safe with Neo. Neo sends Jack alongside his independently acting Thanatos Intent clone and promises that the clone can move Ilyana's planet and its people into Neo's Cosmos if the danger becomes unmanageable. Ilyana's long protection of Earth has thus created allies willing to cross the war for her, even though the combined response will not be enough to prevent the siege. (Chapters 741 and 752–753)

Siege of the Drasthel Kingdom

The Alliance reaches a kingdom spread across multiple worlds and sends thirty-two Stage 6 Gods against it. Ilyana issues warnings across her territory and stands at the front of the fleet in green armor, the only Stage Six among her people. She does not pretend that the defenders are unafraid. Instead, she tells them that those who entered the Heavenbreaker's Cosmos chose to live and must not be called cowards, while those who stayed freely chose to defend their people, homes, and stars. The speech steadies the fleet before she orders the attack. (Chapter 754)

Fourteen enemy Gods isolate Ilyana and Jack inside a resonance of their Complete Worlds. Ilyana invokes her own Complete World, filling the battlefield with the scent of earth and life as immense vines bind wounds, knit flesh and bone, and return soldiers to the fight. The single World cannot overcome the resonance, yet she rejects the Alliance's surrender offer and keeps the army together through the connection the World creates. Her preserved Black Sun deters the enemy from immediately destroying her, but activating it would also kill her soldiers, so she refuses to use it as a convenient victory. (Chapter 755)

Ilyana instead plans to open a rift and send Jack to fetch Neo. She burns half her Core, erupts in green fire, and uses massive vines to fracture the enemy World even as the damage leaves her Core described as beyond repair. Jack refuses the intended sacrifice. He summons his strongest Stage 6 undead, has it force Ilyana through the rift, and remains behind himself; she fights the creature's grip and protests until the opening seals. Drasthel soldiers subsequently identify Jack as the Queen's consort and die protecting him, confirming the public political status he holds by this battle. (Chapters 755–757)

After Jack's existence disappears from his body during the Shadow Supreme's intervention, Ilyana catches Thanatos and tries to make him prioritize the surviving threat over immediate grief. She leads him toward the royal palace and offers two terrible sources of power: her mother, former Queen Wren Veycoris-Drasthel, or Ilyana herself, for him to devour. Velion pulls her away while Alliance Gods charge her, and the chapter does not narrate her rescue, death, or restoration. The independently acting clone's hesitation, devouring power, and later sealing remain his actions rather than Ilyana's. (Chapter 759)

The final chapter supplies a destination without supplying that missing bridge. In a rewritten modern history, Neo attends a wedding and recognizes Jack, Layla, Emma, and Ilyana; the narration calls the women Jack's three brides. This confirms that Ilyana is alive and marries him in the completed novel's final history. It does not state that her damaged Core healed, that she became family head, or that the original political engagement was romantic from its beginning, so those matters remain distinct from the explicit marriage. Appearance and personality

Ilyana appears human at first glance, with a fair face, graceful posture, and measured movement. Two sweeping horns curve from her head like antlers, while her irises shimmer as if small galaxies turn inside them. During the defense of her kingdom, her long hair streams behind green armor; her magic surrounds her in green light and makes her hair move like leaves in wind. She carries a staff while commanding her Complete World. No fixed height, age, or everyday costume is given. (Chapters 690, 700, and 754–755)

Her manner combines warmth with a formidable temper. Ilyana offers help gently, waits patiently for difficult requests, and speaks honestly to frightened soldiers, but can answer threats to Jack with immediate killing intent and react sharply when her institution is challenged. She is neither blindly obedient nor heedlessly sacrificial: she accepts Jack's agency after arguing, protects evacuees from shame, refuses to use the Black Sun while it would kill her army, and chooses a Core-burning escape plan only when every conventional defense is failing. (Chapters 690, 700, 722, 731, 738, and 754–756)

Powers and limitations

Stage 6 existence and Complete World

Ilyana is explicitly a strong Stage 6 God. Her signature Stage 6 manifestation is a Complete World filled with earth, life, and enormous green vines. The World can reach across a battlefield, connect her voice to the people inside it, heal severe damage to flesh and bone, and oppose another Complete World. It is not unlimited: the resonance of fourteen Stage 6 Worlds is far beyond her single manifestation and progressively crushes it. No Grade, lower existence-stage history, elemental path, or numeric mastery sublevel is stated for her. (Chapters 700, 718, and 754–755)

Life, healing, and green constructs

Green light, fire, and plant-like constructs recur throughout Ilyana's combat. She can erupt massive vines from fractures in space, twist them into serpents of light, bind enormous structures, heal allied soldiers, and sustain their return to combat. She also uses potions to treat Jack on Earth, showing that she does not rely on innate healing alone. The chapters never formally name “Life” as her elemental path or give a mastery tier, so the imagery and healing remain demonstrated abilities rather than an inferred progression label. (Chapters 700 and 755–756)

Telepathy, remote awareness, and protection

Ilyana communicates telepathically across battlefields and can project warnings directly into another person's thoughts or through the hearts of people connected to her World. She senses intervention around Earth's Akashic Record and sends her awareness into the underworld to observe it. Her association with Space-derived protection allows her organization to hide locations, but Kane's warning and the Alliance assault prove those defenses can be breached. The story does not assign her a Space path or show her personally creating every Forgotten Suns ward. (Chapters 690, 711, 731, 738, and 755)

Core burning and the Black Sun

By burning half of her Core, Ilyana multiplies her output enough to fracture the resonance World and open a rift. The cost is catastrophic: she coughs blood, loses strength, and her Core is described as damaged beyond repair. The text assigns no formal demotion after this act. The Black Sun is a separate preserved weapon of the Drasthel Kingdom; enemies fear that it could kill several Gods, but Ilyana explains that it would also destroy her army and everything she built. She never activates it, and it is not a personal rank or ordinary spell. (Chapters 755–756)

Jack Hanma

Ilyana meets Jack's current life during her heir trial and later uses engagement to extend her family's protection to Earth. She likes him while he initially rejects another relationship, but she continues to support his world and repeatedly risks herself for him. During the siege each tries to take the fatal position for the other, and her soldiers recognize him as consort. The final rewritten history completes the movement from political fiancée to wife by making Ilyana one of Jack's brides. (Chapters 707, 722, 755–757, and 839)

Neo Hargraves

Ilyana first meets Neo as the attacker killing Jack and nearly fights him before Percival and Jack intervene. She later offers him Forgotten Suns support, but his intent to kill Zeus makes formal alignment impossible. The two nevertheless cooperate indirectly: she entrusts Jack to him, and Neo sends Thanatos to protect her kingdom. Her final offer to be devoured is directed to that clone's independent battlefield judgment, not to Neo's body. (Chapters 700, 729–731, 741, and 759)

Arthur and the Forgotten Suns

Ilyana regards herself as responsible for worlds under Forgotten Suns protection and frames the group's purpose as equality against stronger predators. She counsels Arthur against attacking Zeus, argues with Earth's leaders, and resists Kane's criticism of their security. Her loyalty is not uncritical passivity: she tries to bring reinforcements against Arthur's refusal and ultimately leads her own kingdom rather than waiting for a missing Supreme Leader. (Chapters 690, 729, 738, and 754)

Wren Veycoris-Drasthel

Wren is Ilyana's mother, a former Queen and faded Stage 6 God kept within the royal palace. Their ordinary family history is not narrated. The one direct decision concerning Wren is extreme: believing Thanatos needs power immediately, Ilyana offers him Wren's remaining existence and then substitutes herself if he cannot do it. The offer demonstrates the scale of the crisis, but the chapter does not show either woman devoured. (Chapter 759)

Items

Ilyana uses a staff while directing her Complete World and draws healing potions from a spatial ring when treating Jack. The Drasthel Kingdom also preserves a Black Sun, but the weapon is a kingdom asset rather than her personal progression state, and she refuses to activate it while her army remains within its destructive reach.
