Mirey

Mirey is a greatsword-wielding elf of Daréu and one of the four retainers who accompany Yu IlHan after the dragon war.

Biography

From Daréu to Earth

Mirey was the highest-level member of the four elves who followed Yu IlHan, serving as their principal close-combat warrior. He forged her layered dragon-bone and dragon-scale armor, and she trained under the accelerated conditions he created for his household. (Chapters 102–107 and 124–125)

Her straightforward devotion made her quick to accept Yu IlHan as emperor, though she was also the member most easily overwhelmed by his elaborate plans. Alongside the other elves, she became part of the small household that lived, trained, and fought around his workshop. (Chapters 103, 125, and 150–154)

Front-line defender

When Yumir’s party was trapped in an Abandoned World, Mirey fought on the front beside Flemir and Jirl, using both shield and greatsword while Paté controlled the field from range. The balanced party survived years of continuous combat and returned substantially stronger. (Chapters 138–141)

Mirey later helped defend Daréu through successive cataclysms. After Phiria’s death, she remained among the surviving senior elves, underwent Yu IlHan’s harsher training, and was assigned with Jirl and Paté to command the elves aboard the Guardian Fortress. (Chapters 229–234 and 284)

Dragon’s Nest

Mirey rose into Dragon’s Nest as a higher existence and joined its factional wars. In the peaceful generation that follows, she and Jirl have a son, Hessian, whose inferiority complex becomes a spur for his growth among the unusually gifted children of Dragon’s Nest. (Chapters 316–325 and Extra Chapter 3)

Appearance and personality

Mirey is described as a beautiful female warrior with a healthy, curving build. She is physically brave and dependable but often blunt and slow to follow complicated explanations. Her reactions are open and enthusiastic, whether she is praising Yu IlHan or puzzling over human customs. (Chapters 103, 125, 150, and 162)

Abilities and classes

Greatsword combat

Mirey is the principal close-combat attacker among Yu IlHan’s four chosen elves. Centuries of sword and physical training let her use a greatsword’s reach and weight against monsters while continuing to move in heavy protection. Her style is direct rather than technique-heavy in the available evidence: she commits to the front, creates space through physical force, and relies on repeated practice against real monsters. The corpus does not name a signature sword skill or evolved class for her. (Chapters 102, 124–125, and 138–141)

Armored formation defense

Yu IlHan equips Mirey with layered dragon-bone and dragon-scale armor, a shield, and a greatsword. In group combat she and Jirl hold the line while Paté controls enemies at range, allowing the party to combine durable interception with precise attacks. She can alternate between the shield’s immediate protection and the greatsword’s stopping power, but this depends on supplied equipment and teammates covering the angles she cannot. Her role is complementary to Jirl’s shield specialization, not proof of an independent magical barrier. (Chapters 107 and 138–139)

Training, command, and higher existence

Years in an Abandoned World and Yu IlHan’s later accelerated training improve Mirey’s endurance, reactions, and ability to fight continuously. She eventually helps command the Guardian Fortress’s elven forces and ascends as one of Dragon’s Nest’s higher existences. That advancement raises the class scale at which she can perform her learned role, but no distinct higher-existence spell or racial transformation is identified. Her latest demonstrated strengths remain greatsword combat, formation discipline, and dependable frontline command. (Chapters 138–141, 229–234, 284, and 316)
