Kang MiRae

Kang MiRae, also rendered Mirae or Kang Mi-rae, is the ability user called the Empress. She begins as Earth’s foremost lightning mage and the leader of the Lightning God clan, then deliberately enters dimensional magic so she can cross worlds under her own power. Her refusal of God’s intervention and enlightenment into mana prepare her for rebirth as a sixth-class dragon, after which her gate spell Galactic Trajectory becomes essential to Dragon’s Nest’s war and the fusion of worlds.

Biography

The Empress finds a rival

MiRae first fights beside Yu IlHan against a third-class shadow leopard. Her lightning creates the opening his attack needs, and she immediately joins rescue work when the battle ends. She distributes the corpse according to contribution rather than public status and is one of the few people capable of keeping IlHan in sight by concentrating on him continuously. Recognizing a partner stronger than anyone she met in another world, she offers him her name and future cooperation even though he refuses the party invitation. (Chapters 21–24)

Their next important exchange is about equipment. MiRae removes her mask to demonstrate trust but does not demand equal disclosure, then specifies a staff and robe suited to lightning amplification. She is wealthy enough to offer a price beyond IlHan’s expectations, yet the negotiation is not an attempt to purchase personal loyalty: she treats the unknown smith’s labor and rare options as work that must be compensated. When the completed staff exceeds the price she can justify, MiRae initially refuses to take it. IlHan answers that discerning his ability, gaining his confidence, and bringing the correct materials are also parts of her own ability. She accepts that valuation and vows to surpass him. Leader on an unstable Earth

As master of the Lightning God clan, MiRae becomes a public organizer during Earth’s escalating crises. She helps coordinate Korea’s ability users, forms the Front Line Alliance, and negotiates with governments and elite clans that would otherwise compete for immediate rewards. Her decisions rely on a wide view of Earth’s survival rather than the prestige of her own clan. (Chapters 109–120)

Her family’s wealth and influence give her logistics, information, and political access, but she resists being reduced to an heiress. The same principle visible in her artifact purchase governs her leadership: resources matter, yet worth should follow demonstrated contribution. When gates and other worlds create economic as well as military opportunities, MiRae helps organize interworld exchange instead of letting uncontrolled actors monopolize it. The project is partly practical preparation for repeated Cataclysms and partly an assertion that Earth’s people must build their own capacity. Choosing dimensional magic

An attempted abduction pulls MiRae, Na YuNa, Yumir, and their companions through a closing gate into an Abandoned World. They cannot wait for rescue. With Mir concealing the party, MiRae helps structure a campaign of continuous hunting to gather the magic stones needed for escape. One thousand days pass for the group while only ten days pass on Earth, and MiRae reaches third class through the ordeal. (Chapters 138–141)

Later separations convince her that lightning alone cannot solve the problem most important to her: reaching IlHan across worlds. She studies magic outside her original affinity and pioneers a gate under her own power. The accomplishment gives her the Dimensional Mage class, halves the mana used in magic through the god of magic’s blessing, and grants a monthly full recovery of consumed mana. Her first response is not institutional ambition but relief that she can finally go meet him. (Chapters 157–184, 260)

MiRae refuses Heaven’s request to appropriate the new power for its war. She states that she obtained it to reach IlHan and will use it for him. Once reunited, her gates make her an operational leader in her own right: IlHan entrusts the Flying Fortress and most fourth-class companions to her while the group splits across worlds. Dimensional magic therefore develops from a personal answer to separation into Dragon’s Nest’s transport network. (Chapters 261–269)

Mana, death, and God’s offer

During a battle against nine mana-restraining Legnae, MiRae is responsible for bringing IlHan’s separated companions home. The suppression prevents her from opening a gate large enough for a person, so she changes the application instead of forcing the original plan. After Helièna holds the enemies for a moment, MiRae creates pencil-thin gates directly through their bodies and repeats them tens and hundreds of times, removing material with every opening until all nine collapse. (Chapter 303)

The feat consumes potions, mana-rich food, the Crown of Wisdom’s amplification, and an enormous quantity of YuNa’s holy power. It counts as a miracle beyond MiRae’s existing capacity, and she loses consciousness immediately afterward. In the resulting mental abyss, God offers survival and a destiny under his order. MiRae rejects the intervention rather than exchange her chosen path for safety, then breaks through the confinement by understanding mana without help from Record or Rule. (Chapters 303, 310–311)

She awakens able to rule mana instead of merely shaping a fixed set of spells. MiRae reports the encounter, allowing IlHan to remove the trigger God left within her, and accepts his invitation to Dragon’s Nest. The Cradle of Miracles rewrites her human records into a body and soul with greater affinity for mana. Her prior achievement pushes the transformation directly to sixth class even though her ordinary records would not have reached that league. (Chapters 310–312)

Galactic Trajectory

MiRae’s new affinity makes her the centerpiece of Dragon’s Nest’s higher-world campaign. She begins by maintaining a hundred gates at once so allied forces can strike worlds in parallel. Range and count do not eliminate the cost: every open connection must be located, stabilized, and supplied with mana, making YuNa’s miracles, IlHan’s declarations, Mystic’s system control, and fortress infrastructure essential to expansion. The campaign eventually demands 6,891 simultaneous gates. MiRae exceeds recorded dimensional magic and acquires Galactic Trajectory, an unrecordable spell that treats separated worlds as points within one coordinated route. The achievement advances her to seventh class. It is both personal mastery and collective construction: MiRae creates the connections, while blessings and Dragon’s Nest’s authority make their impossible scale sustainable. (Chapters 330, 334)

During the fusion of Earth and Dareu, she extends Galactic Trajectory beyond travel. If two dimensions can be connected, she reasons, the connection can help make them one. Despite the tremendous headache of maintaining the spell, she synchronizes the dimensional flow so IlHan can equalize the worlds without their incompatible power tearing him apart. Her assist does not perform the fusion alone, but it removes a critical discontinuity in his Creation. (Chapters 335–336)

After the war, MiRae is known as the Goddess of Magic and marries IlHan. The title follows the same trajectory as her earlier choices: mastery is not a closed catalogue inherited from a patron, but the ability to enter an unknown magical field, understand its mana, and construct a working path for others. Appearance and personality

MiRae is introduced with a neat, dignified beauty and an air of pride. As the Empress she commonly hides her face behind a mask; removing it for IlHan is an explicit gesture of trust rather than casual presentation. Dragon rebirth gives her body and soul a stronger affinity for mana, though the corpus emphasizes the transformed magical presence more than a fixed catalogue of new physical features. She is reserved, disciplined, fair-minded, and intensely serious about magic. Public command makes her decisive, while private affection for IlHan leaves her shy and easily flustered. Pride does not stop her from recognizing superior work or changing fields when her current specialty is insufficient. Abilities and classes

MiRae progresses from a lightning-focused human mage to a fourth-class Dimensional Mage, then a sixth-class dragon able to rule mana, and finally a seventh-class user of the unrecordable Galactic Trajectory. Lightning magic and staff casting

Her original specialty is lightning. She channels offensive power through a staff, supplying the decisive opening against the shadow leopard and later performing large-area attacks and defensive magic for the Lightning God clan. Lightning is fast and destructive, but casting still requires mana, concentration, and suitable distance; early MiRae fights as part of a party rather than treating raw output as sufficient against every higher-class target. IlHan’s custom staff raises general magic attack and lightning performance, while her robe improves the mage’s ability to survive and sustain casting. The later Crown of Wisdom amplifies mana and supports extreme calculations. These are equipment effects: the Crown helps her force mana through suppression in the Legnae battle, but she still consumes all prepared resources and collapses from the result. Dimensional Mage and interworld gates

MiRae develops dimensional magic through research because ordinary travel systems cannot reliably bring her to IlHan. Her fourth-class gate opens a blue connection between worlds and earns the Dimensional Mage class plus a blessing that halves magic’s mana cost and restores all consumed mana once per month. She uses gates to move people, fortresses, and armies, cross the Wall of Chaos, and divide operations among many worlds. Galactic Trajectory evolves from simultaneous gate control into an unrecordable dimensional system. MiRae creates 6,891 connections and coordinates them as one trajectory, allowing Dragon’s Nest to move power across thousands of worlds. For world fusion she overlays additional magic on Galactic Trajectory so Earth and Dareu’s separated dimensions exchange power smoothly. IlHan performs the Declaration, equalization, and Creation, while MiRae maintains dimensional continuity. Goddess of Magic and latest state

By the end of the supplied corpus, MiRae is a seventh-class dragon and Goddess of Magic. The title reflects her ability to pioneer magic beyond the Akashic Record.
