Gigantes
Gigantes is a high-class giant summoned as one of the fallen gods' rewards to Randalph Brigsiel. After losing a personal challenge, he accepts Randalph as “Master” and serves as a dungeon champion through repeated sieges, corruption, and overseas operations. He is ultimately killed during Chrisley's operation to lure and seal Gustarte, and Randalph orders the loyal creature buried beside the Tree of Origin. (Chapters 48, 55–56, 112–141, and 213)
Biography
A fallen god's champion
Gigantes emerges through a crack after Randalph completes the fallen gods' trial, appearing as a four-meter armored giant with a massive club. Although delivered as a divine reward, he is intelligent and proud enough to test the new master personally. His superior raw strength and earth defense initially pressure Randalph, but the giant's low magic resistance, slower movement, and conspicuous attack motions let Lightning God paralyze him and neutralize his strongest blow. Recognizing the winner's strength, Gigantes kneels and gives Randalph his allegiance rather than continuing a hopeless contest. (Chapters 48 and 55–56)
Randalph thereafter uses him as both weapon and symbol. Gigantes' presence at the auction publicly advertises the force behind Randalph, while battles such as his confrontation with the King Wyvern establish him as a champion rather than a passive guard. He also stands watch during the Sloth trial and is stationed on the dungeon's upper floor to protect the Dungeon Core, placing his personal loyalty at the heart of the dungeon's security. (Chapters 64–81)
Defense, corruption, and recovery
Gigantes repeatedly discovers that raw force alone cannot solve supernatural threats. When Infinite Flesh manifests through Greed, its absorption and expanding power overwhelm him after the griffin falls, leaving him vomiting blood and collapsed despite his strength. Later, a dwarf-made unique club with Instant Acceleration greatly increases the force of his swings, but Contegonom's shadow swallows, suffocates, and taints him. Chrisley must restrain the controlled giant while Randalph fights the demon, showing that hostile control can turn the dungeon's champion into a liability. (Chapters 112–113 and 127–129)
He returns to normal service and fights energetically in Randalph's wider campaigns, sending destructive waves through creature formations with the enormous club. During Randalph's prolonged absence, however, more than a hundred assaults grind down the defenders. A titan and other high-class attackers leave Gigantes severely wounded and force him to his knees before Randalph's return reverses the siege. His survival is therefore a product of endurance and allied relief, not invulnerability. (Chapters 120–121 and 141)
Later missions and death
Gigantes later accompanies aerial and high-class forces on the operation involving the Saintess. He is the first to charge, prompting the griffin to follow, and his movement helps devastate the orc opposition. Yihi sometimes rides or gardens on his bald head and calls him a little giant, while he protests that she is a little fairy; their bickering shows a familiar side of a creature otherwise defined by short commands and battle. He also appears at Greenwich among the forces that trample resistance for Randalph. (Chapters 178–186 and 202)
His final assignment is Chrisley's attempt to lure Gustarte into a prepared seal. The operation succeeds at enormous cost: the later report identifies Gigantes and thirty advanced creatures as dead. Randalph regrets losing a follower who remained faithful from the moment of his defeat and orders the giant buried beside the Tree of Origin. Gigantes does not survive to see the final war, but his death contributes to containing the divine enemy whose body later becomes essential to Randalph's faction. (Chapter 213)
Appearance and personality
Gigantes stands about four meters tall and wears black armor and a black helmet through which red eyes shine. He carries an oversized hexagonal club suited to his scale. Later scenes establish that his head is bald beneath the helmet, large enough for Yihi to use as a platform and garden. The corpus presents his build and equipment through their battlefield mass rather than giving finer facial detail. (Chapters 48, 55–56, and 178–186)
He is proud, combative, and attracted to strong opponents, but not mindlessly defiant. Gigantes waits while Randalph changes during their first fight, understands the result, and willingly kneels to a proven superior. His speech is sparse and sometimes primitive, yet he can adapt tactics and maintain loyalty through injury and corruption. Around Yihi he is irritable but tolerant, enduring indignities that contrast with his intimidating public role. (Chapters 55–56, 64–81, and 178–186)
Abilities and powers
Giant physique and club combat
Gigantes begins as a high-class creature with exceptional strength, a durable armored body, and enough physical power to produce broad destructive waves with his club. His size and weight make direct impacts devastating, and an upgraded unique club later adds Instant Acceleration to a strike, effectively amplifying its force. The same scale reduces agility, makes large attack motions readable, and leaves him vulnerable to aerial harassment or enemies who can evade and counter rather than trade blows. (Chapters 48, 55–56, 64–71, and 120–127)
Arms of Earth
Arms of Earth is an Ex U-grade skill that raises earth into a defensive wall and may also harden Gigantes' body. Its protection can withstand major attacks, but activation has a visible delay and he cannot attack while the defensive state is operating. Randalph exploits those limitations by acting during startup and forcing the giant to choose between protection and offense. The source does not specify an energy cost, maximum duration, or cooldown. (Chapters 55–56)
Gigantic Slash
Gigantic Slash is an Epic-grade attack that concentrates destructive magic into a projected blow. It can split clouds, be fired repeatedly, and threaten opponents outside the reach of Gigantes' club, giving him a response to airborne enemies. Its initial motion is large enough to dodge, however, and the attack's magical structure is susceptible to opponents who can neutralize or withstand it. Randalph counters it through Lightning God and the giant's comparatively low magic resistance. (Chapters 55–56 and 64–71)
Vulnerabilities and control
Magic resistance and agility are Gigantes' consistent weaknesses. Greed's absorption overpowers his straightforward offense, Contegonom's shadow can engulf and control him, and sustained siege by several high-class foes eventually incapacitates him. His earth defense cannot cover offense at the same time, while his accelerated club remains useless if an enemy denies him a clean swing. The corpus never attributes flight, healing, resistance to mind control, or a method of escaping spatial restraint to him. (Chapters 55–56, 112–113, 127–141, and 213)
Power progression
| Stage / Realm / Ability | Chapter(s) | Notes |

| Restored but siege-worn | 129–141 | Returns to normal allegiance, yet repeated assaults accumulate enough injury for other high-class attackers to force him down. |
| Killed sealing Gustarte | 213 | Dies with thirty advanced creatures while luring the controlled god into Chrisley's prepared seal; no resurrection follows. |
Relationships
- Randalph Brigsiel: Gigantes' master after defeating him fairly. Gigantes guards Randalph's core, fights in his campaigns, and remains loyal until death.
- Yihi: The fairy who treats Gigantes' head as a platform and garden. Their comic bickering masks long familiarity within the dungeon.
- Chrisley: She stops Gigantes while Contegonom controls him and later commands the operation in which he dies sealing Gustarte.
- Gustarte: The divine target of Gigantes' fatal final operation.
Items
- Original club: An unnamed, enormous hexagonal weapon carried when Gigantes is summoned.
- Unique accelerated club: An unnamed replacement forged by the dwarf king. Its Instant Acceleration property sharply increases the force of a swing, but does not remove Gigantes' need to connect with the target.
