Dungeon Core

The Dungeon Core is the blue system anchor at the heart of Randalph Brigsiel's Korean dungeon. It connects the Dungeon Master, fairy, creatures, stores, defenses, movement network, and environmental controls; through Yihi, it ultimately becomes capable of restoring a fragment of the system itself.

History

Foundation of the Korean dungeon

The core is the first presence awaiting Randalph when he begins the second demon contest, and Yihi materializes from it as his companion fairy. He uses it to inspect floors, purchase and place creatures, activate Domestic Mode, watch holographic displays, and receive auction information. As the dungeon grows from empty rooms into a defended ecosystem, the core remains its operational center, with Randalph supplying authority and Yihi handling much of the continuing administration. Target of invasion and system pressure

Enemies repeatedly treat the core as the dungeon's decisive objective. Angels can convert a reached core into Holy Land, rival demons seek to seize or destroy it, and damaged barriers weaken its authority enough to drive low-intelligence creatures outside. Defenders therefore organize around its top floor, while fairies and contracted beings face disappearance or loss of identity if their anchor is broken. Restoration after the long siege returns the core and Tree of Origin to normal operation. (Chapters 81–144)

Yihi as a living core

Yihi's growth makes her more than the core's original relay. The defenders describe her presence as essential to both core and tree, and she survives impacts because their connection maintains her spirit body. In the final battle she calls herself a living Dungeon Core and reaches the system after Death Bringer collapses it. Physical contact with Randalph restores only a tiny fraction, but that fragment returns his status interface and lets him create a defense. The physical Korean core remains active in the epilogue, where its renewed light leads Randalph to Yihi's reborn seed. (Chapters 141–242)

Abilities and properties

• Dungeon administration: The core supports system stores, point spending, floor and environmental configuration, creature placement, holographic monitoring, auction notices, and the Dungeon Master's internal status checks. Its exact permissions depend on ownership and delegated authority. (Chapters 2–83)
• Fairy anchor: A companion fairy acts as the core's spirit and power relay, gaining a touchable spiritual body and administrative access while remaining dependent on the dungeon. Revoked rights or weakened power can make the fairy unable to sense intruders and may threaten the ego built around that role. (Chapters 2–4, 17–26, 87–106, and 170–174)
• Movement and linking: Invisible circles tied to the core let the Dungeon Master and its fairy move between floors. Fairies can also establish links between owned dungeons when the necessary authority and concentration are available. (Chapters 25–26 and 55–56)
• Contracts and survival: Creatures and fairies can be bound to a core, making it a source of order and continued existence as well as command. Destruction can erase a dually contracted fairy entirely, while loss of the Dungeon Master may leave a fairy anxious and the dungeon's behavior unstable. (Chapters 94–97 and 120–121)
• Defensive vulnerability: The core is powerful inside its dungeon but is also a single strategic target. Barriers, Master Guardians, creatures, and terrain defend it; reaching or corrupting it can reverse those advantages. (Chapters 81–86 and 107–144)
• System fragment: Through living-core status, Yihi can restore 0.001 percent of a collapsed system during direct contact with Randalph. This is a narrowly demonstrated emergency effect, not proof that an ordinary physical core can rebuild the global system independently. (Chapter 241)
