Prepotente
Prepotente is a former pet goat transformed into a sapient Caprid crawler. Brilliant, abrasive, and intensely loyal to his caretaker Miriam Dom, he specializes in stacking magical debuffs, exploiting dungeon rules, and coordinating with the hellspawn familiar Bianca. Miriam's death redirects his campaign toward vengeance, but he gradually accepts the larger crawler coalition as a new herd and becomes one of its strongest strategists.
Biography
The Circus and the Iron Tangle
Prepotente first appears on the top-crawler leaderboard as a level-27 Caprid Forsaken Aerialist traveling with Miriam Dom and Bianca. Like Donut, he was once an ordinary Earth animal changed by an enhanced pet biscuit, although his goat body develops humanlike hands rather than becoming visually human. He regards that shared origin as a bond and greets Donut warmly, while treating Carl and most strangers with cutting contempt. His third-place ranking and later level-35 listing establish that the outwardly comic screaming goat is already one of the dungeon's most successful crawlers. (Chapters 74, 77, 106, and 113)
Miriam is both his former caretaker and the person he calls mother. Their group operates as a family: Bianca and the ordinary Boer goats are his siblings, while Miriam protects and soothes him even when he issues theatrical death threats. The relationship provides emotional security and tactical structure. Miriam supplies healing, stealth, and support; Prepotente provides high-output control magic and analysis. Their failure to secure a province-boss kill during the Tangle, partly because other crawlers interfere, helps explain his hostility toward competitors and his determination to control every variable himself. (Chapters 106, 109, and 150)
The Gate of the Feral Gods
The fifth floor publicly reveals Prepotente's signature method. Miriam knocks a province boss unconscious for only seconds; Prepotente applies roughly half a dozen potions and spells before that window closes, stacking the short condition into five hours of incapacitation. The target eventually wakes because Quan Ch deliberately breaks the effect, showing that the technique is powerful but interruptible and dependent on maintaining the accumulated control state. (Chapter 113)
Prepotente and Miriam repeat the method against the enormous turkey produced by the feral-god crisis. This time they finish the kill, and the experience raises him eight levels to 55. The result makes him the highest-level crawler then reported and confirms that his build can convert patient preparation into kills far beyond a straightforward melee approach. His success also strengthens his public identity as a dangerous independent operator rather than a subordinate in Carl and Donut's network. (Chapters 142–143)
The Hunting Grounds and the Masquerade
On the sixth floor, Prepotente's class changes from Forsaken Aerialist to Profane Vitiate. His practical method remains recognizable: he casts area effects that intensify inebriation and aggression while Miriam cloaks the group and increases his debuffs' power. He ranges ahead, captures targets, helps carry the badly injured Carl out of danger, and uses Bianca as transport and protection. A blocked aggression effect and the accidental enhancement of Carl's Woozy debuff illustrate two risks—targets can resist the intended condition, and layered effects can harm an ally if the battlefield is not controlled. (Chapter 150)
Miriam's forced vampire condition eventually traps her between fatal infection and sunlight. She chooses death rather than continue as the dungeon intends, and Prepotente cannot stop her. Afterward he swallows the Ring of Divine Suffering, opens his sponsor box, equips Bianca for continued travel, and defines revenge against the people responsible as his purpose. Bianca's evolution from level 33 to 40 gives her full wings and a saddle, but neither her new strength nor Prepotente's level-57 status compensates for Miriam's loss. His grief changes him from a protected prodigy into the sole decision-maker for their surviving family. (Chapters 187–193)
An Odious Creeper quest then grants him ten crawler levels in addition to ordinary kill experience; because the resulting number is not shown, it cannot be calculated safely. He is explicitly level 70 soon afterward and reaches 71 after the Masquerade. In the final battle he lands a potion-assisted killing blow on Queen Imogen and claims a substantial share of the damage, then clashes with Osvaldo over the Memorial Crystal: Apito. Prepotente believes the impossible crystal is tied to a quest, can protect against Scolopendra, and may explain Apito's apparent death. The object turns his personal grief toward a much older divine mystery. (Chapters 196, 201, and 219)
The Eighth Floor and Bedlam
Before entering the eighth floor, Prepotente breaks the seventh. He notices that Miriam's Boots of Kiznet's Final Flight have an item description more than five times the normal length, connects its mixed folklore to the next-floor clues, studies the glass enclosure, and applies a solvent, the Enchanted Stick of Cascadia's Screams, and a hammer at the exact structural weakness. A tiny strike propagates through the Prince Rupert's-drop-like level and destroys it, forcing the crawl directly onward. The act is motivated partly by grief—he follows the clue Miriam's equipment left him—but it also demonstrates his ability to treat lore, material behavior, and production design as one solvable system. (Chapters 220 and 222)
On the eighth floor he continues to exchange specialized lore with Carl, though he responds to a long Bahamas transcription mainly by correcting its errors. He incapacitates four rival squads for the remainder of the floor and analyzes Carl's stairwell operation with precise, steadily worsening probabilities. Despite anger over Miriam's death, he eventually says he does not blame Carl and wishes Carl and Donut survival, reserving vengeance for the powers that engineered the situation. This is not friendship in a conventional sense, but it is a deliberate decision not to turn grief into crawler-on-crawler violence. (Chapters 243, 273, 283, and 285)
Faction Wars at Larracos
Prepotente initially keeps his army independent from Donut's command and prioritizes a personal score against the Naga producers connected to the Blood Hunter program. Even before joining, he and Bianca scout the southern border from the air and warn Carl about hidden infantry, vehicles, and artillery. Once his target aligns with the coalition's war, he helps assault Club Vanquisher, contributes to the resulting celestial rewards, and rises to level 99. His participation is conditional and autonomous, but strategically valuable precisely because he reports what he sees instead of waiting for the warlords to direct him. (Chapters 317 and 347–357)
The campaign further integrates him with the Princess Posse. He supplies aerial observation, magical control, and planning around the gods and Larracos while continuing to object to careless decisions. A later broadcast classifies Bianca's already-existing saddle as a divine item without establishing where it came from or what unique power it provides. The corpus also confirms he possesses Iron Stomach, a skill that permits enchanted-item consumption, though it does not state his rank or attribute his swallowed ring to that skill. The Larracos aftermath places him at level 100, his latest explicit crawler level. (Chapters 193, 350, 359, 382, and 391)
The Parade of Horribles
Prepotente approaches the tenth-floor races as another rule system to solve. He warns every team not merely to avoid last place but to make sure opponents also cross the finish, correctly treating interference as a possible trap in the floor's design. Later he develops a direct rescue plan in which Bianca flies through a hostile factory and pulls Corky from a moving car once its shield falls. Across the races he contributes garages, vehicles, scouting, and engineering labor rather than relying only on his personal spell build. (Chapters 397, 458, and 484)
By this phase he finally possesses the Memorial Crystal: Apito. He learns that it charges through relevant encounters, should eventually yield Apito's spells, skills, and knowledge, and protects him and others inside the same building or mount from Scolopendra's transforming attacks. The protection works for Prepotente and Jurgen and raises the crystal to 11.1 percent, but the stored contents remain inaccessible while it is incomplete. He also accepts a deeper social obligation: he delays his usual immediate descent because Jurgen will not leave until Lucia is safe, placing another crawler's bond above pure efficiency. (Chapters 465, 477, and 479)
In the final arena, Prepotente, Bianca, and Jurgen join Carl and Donut's improvised defense against god-scale opponents. An electrical attack injures him, but he reports that he recovers and asks others to tend Jurgen first. Taranis tears the crystal from his neck, removing the party's known protection from further Scolopendra attacks and taking the accumulated Apito material. Prepotente ends the supplied phase alive, still level 100 at the last explicit checkpoint, newly joined to the crawlers' common party, and committed to recovering the stolen crystal while acknowledging that no crawler present can defeat a level-250 god alone. (Chapters 484 and 494)
Appearance and personality
Prepotente retains a goatlike Caprid body after gaining sapience, with goat eyes, black curled nails on humanlike fingers, and a hand tattoo depicting a sinister goat. Unlike Donut, his transformation does not give him an ordinary talking-animal appearance; the corpus repeatedly calls him a goat-turned-crawler. His most distinctive behavior is an abrupt, piercing scream that may arrive without warning and is not established as a damaging combat ability. He strongly objects to anyone except Miriam calling him “Pony.” (Chapters 77, 106, 150, and 220)
He is exceptionally intelligent, precise, proud, and verbally cruel, often correcting small errors while others are in danger. That arrogance coexists with emotional transparency: Miriam can reduce him to tears with a rebuke, and her death leaves him openly helpless. He values planning, dislikes waste and imprecision, and often sees structural solutions before other crawlers. Grief initially narrows him toward vengeance, but he remains capable of revising blame, protecting allies, and accepting that the surviving crawlers form a herd whose interdependence is a strength rather than an embarrassment. (Chapters 106, 150, 192–193, 220, 243, 285, 464, and 494)
Skills, class, and abilities
Prepotente's build centers on magical control, potion use, analysis, and mounted cooperation with Bianca. The corpus names his classes but does not provide complete class descriptions, so mechanics below are limited to demonstrated effects rather than attributing every capability to Profane Vitiate.
Caprid, Profane Vitiate, and stacked debuffs
An enhanced pet biscuit transforms Prepotente from an ordinary goat into a sapient Caprid crawler. He first selects Forsaken Aerialist and changes to Profane Vitiate on the sixth floor. Neither class receives a formal rules panel in the supplied chapters, but both phases demonstrate control magic rather than ordinary aerial acrobatics: Prepotente layers conditions from spells and potions, while Miriam hides him and strengthens those effects. (Chapters 74–77, 113, and 150)
Stacking turns weak or short debuffs into decisive control. Against the Tangle province boss, roughly six rapid applications extend ten seconds of unconsciousness to five hours; elsewhere he increases drunkenness, promotes aggression, knocks squads out, and uses a potion to finish Imogen. This method excels when he has preparation time, consumables, a support caster, and a target that does not recognize the danger. It can fail when an opponent dispels or deliberately breaks the condition, when the relevant debuff is blocked, or when overlapping magic catches an ally. Miriam's death removes the stealth, healing, and amplification partner around whom the original technique was built, but Prepotente continues using potions and control effects afterward. (Chapters 113, 150, 219, and 273)
Prepotente also demonstrates personal floating flight while helping target Emberus during Faction Wars. The scene does not identify whether this comes from a retained class feature, a spell, or equipment, and it provides no duration, speed, or resource cost. It therefore confirms aerial positioning by chapter 391 without supporting a broader claim that Profane Vitiate inherently grants flight. (Chapter 391)
Potioncraft, equipment use, and Iron Stomach
Prepotente carries a varied potion arsenal and deploys it with timing precise enough to count toward boss kills. He uses liquids as thrown or applied conditions, combines them with spells, and identifies chemical or magical tools needed for structural exploits. The corpus does not always state whether he personally brewed a given potion, so his demonstrated expertise is selection and application rather than universal authorship of every consumable. Potions remain finite equipment, and resistance, cleansing, range, or a missed timing window can reduce their value. (Chapters 113, 150, 219–220, and 273)
He also possesses Iron Stomach, a skill introduced as allowing a crawler to consume magical items and eventually gain Intelligence from sufficient consumption. The description says level 10 provides a one-item-to-one-point ratio and protects against cursed items, but the corpus only says Prepotente “already had” the skill; it does not identify his rank. He physically swallows the Ring of Divine Suffering after Miriam's death, but no local statement explicitly attributes that act or its later consequences to Iron Stomach. (Chapters 192 and 359)
Bianca and mounted operations
Bianca is Prepotente's sibling and long-term familiar rather than disposable equipment. The same pet-biscuit event that changes Prepotente transforms her into a Hellspawn Familiar. She grows with levels, radiates heat and black ethereal fire, develops full smoky wings by level 40, and becomes capable of hauling carts, aerial scouting, direct combat, and high-speed rescue. Prepotente combines her elevation with his observation and spell range, using her to watch hidden troop movements or penetrate environments such as the hot factory. (Chapters 150, 193, 201, 317, and 458)
The partnership is tactically flexible but exposes shared risks. Bianca is a large visible target, her heat and appearance make stealth difficult without additional magic, and operations sometimes require her to leave Prepotente's immediate defense. Her saddle is classified as a divine item, but the supplied corpus does not enumerate its unique bonuses or demonstrate it as a distinct power source; only the broadcast's general statement that divine-item benefits and debuffs usually align, with exceptions, can be applied cautiously. Bianca remains active beside Prepotente in the latest arena scenes. (Chapters 193, 317, 359, 458, and 484)
Analytical planning and dungeon exploitation
Prepotente's most consequential ability is intellectual rather than a named skill. He compares item-description length, folklore, interview language, materials, geometry, and system incentives to identify intended or accidental solutions. His destruction of the seventh floor demonstrates the full process: recognize an outlier in Miriam's boots, infer that the glass chamber is the resurrection point from the tale, soften the correct location, insert the magical stick, and apply a minimal strike so the whole structure fails. (Chapter 220)
He applies the same precision to battlefield scouting, route analysis, probability estimates, race rules, and rescue plans. These solutions depend on receiving enough accurate clues and having the right tools; his confidence is not omniscience, and he can be surprised by divine or administrative intervention. By the latest phase he remains one of the coalition's most reliable planners, but he explicitly recognizes that strategy and cooperation must replace any attempt to overpower a god alone. (Chapters 220, 243, 283, 317, 397, 458, 484, and 494)
Memorial Crystal: Apito
The memorial crystal is equipment-derived access, not an innate spell. Prepotente first pursues it because a crystal for Apito should be impossible if she is alive and because his quest links it to Geyrun's death and Scolopendra. Once he wears it, relevant attacks charge the object; at full charge it is supposed to yield Apito's stored spells, skills, and knowledge. At 11.1 percent, those contents remain inaccessible, so the article does not credit them to Prepotente's active build. (Chapters 219, 465, and 477)
The demonstrated defensive effect protects Prepotente and anyone within the same building or mount from Scolopendra's transformations. This area condition makes positioning essential and does not establish protection from unrelated damage. Taranis steals the crystal directly from Prepotente's neck in the final arena, ending his current access and removing the coalition's known protection. His latest state is therefore prior knowledge of the mechanics and a recovery objective, not possession of Apito's powers. (Chapters 477 and 494)

Relationships
- Miriam Dom: Miriam is Prepotente's Earth caretaker, tactical partner, and mother. She heals and steadies him while amplifying and concealing his debuff work; he loves her with the dependence of a son despite constant dramatic threats. Her chosen death becomes the central loss of his dungeon life and drives both his vengeance and his floor-breaking analysis. (Chapters 77, 106, 113, 142, 150, and 187–220)
- Bianca: Bianca is Prepotente's goat sibling and hellspawn familiar. They fight and travel as a mounted pair, with Bianca supplying flight, heat, transport, and physical force while Prepotente supplies plans and magic. Her survival preserves the last active member of the family unit he entered with. (Chapters 77, 150, 193, 201, 317, 458, and 484)
- Donut: Prepotente sees Donut as the only other surviving Earth animal to gain true sapience and initially treats her with a warmth he withholds from Carl. Their pride creates friction, but he supports her coalition, shares warnings, and eventually joins the common party. (Chapters 106, 219–220, 285, 317–359, 484, and 494)
- Carl: Prepotente regards Carl as an oaf and initially holds him partly responsible for the circumstances of Miriam's death. He later explicitly releases that blame, exchanges lore, provides battlefield intelligence, and collaborates on increasingly dangerous plans. Their relationship becomes respect expressed through criticism rather than affection. (Chapters 106, 150, 192–220, 243, 285, 317, 484, and 494)
- Imani: Prepotente first threatens Imani during a tense meeting but later fights within the same crawler coalition and relies on its healing and coordination. Her final report of his injury and his request that she prioritize Jurgen show the functional trust developed beneath the hostility. (Chapters 106, 219, 317–391, and 494)
- Jurgen: Jurgen becomes Prepotente's companion during the Parade phase. Prepotente keeps the crystal's protection around him, delays descending because Jurgen will not abandon Lucia, and puts Jurgen's treatment ahead of his own after both are injured. (Chapters 458, 477, 479, 484, and 494)
Items
- Memorial Crystal: Apito: The impossible memorial crystal connects Apito's apparent death, Geyrun's murder, and Scolopendra. While worn by Prepotente it charges through relevant encounters and protects occupants of the same building or mount from Scolopendra's attacks; it reaches 11.1 percent before Taranis steals it. (Chapters 219, 465, 477, and 494)
- Prepotente’s Saddle: The saddle used with Bianca is explicitly classified as a divine item. The corpus gives no complete list of unique bonuses or proof that it independently supplies power, so its precise effects beyond that classification remain unconfirmed. (Chapters 193 and 359)
