Ye Fenghan

Ye Fenghan is a talented Boundless Sect swordsman whose discipline, initiative, and repeated success on dangerous missions earn him recognition as Su Chen's personal disciple and eventual successor. He develops from a contribution-seeking field operative into an intelligence commander, pioneer of the Golden Pill path, leader in the war against the gods, and second Sect Master of the Boundless Sect.

Biography

A disciple who forces the issue

Ye Fenghan first appears escorting merchants and killing a wanted illusionist whose techniques fail against the Boundless Sect's required consciousness training. He accepts a Misty Dew Flower in exchange for the corpse because he is accumulating contribution points for an Aspect, then interrupts another pursuit when he recognizes a fellow sect member. The meeting introduces Chang He, a fast, talkative disciple who becomes his regular partner. Both are Light Shaking cultivators earning resources through outside assignments rather than relying on inherited rank. (Chapter 921)

After acquiring a Frost Aspect derived from Ji Hanyan's Frostbird bloodline, Ye joins the effort to divert Long Sang from attacking the Boundless Sect. He realizes that Lin Zuiliu intends to wait until the sect suffers before entering the war for his own benefit. Rather than report the impasse and remain passive, Ye and Chang impersonate Lin with Bloodline Clones, capture Flat Order City in his name, and force his rebellion to begin. Their deception secures the poison Annihilation and delivers it to the Boundless Sect instead of allowing the Astrals to release it. Su Chen offers a reward, but Ye asks to become his personal disciple. Ye continues to demonstrate that merit. While leading a resource-scouting party, he develops the Dream Beauty Aspect to Great Success and experiences an invasion of sinister figures in his sea of knowledge.
