Biography
Named in flight
Diu Diu is a pale-yellow mutated giant bird borrowed from Pei'er for Saul's travel. It has no name until Kismet, idly watching the scenery and playing with a fallen feather, proposes “Diu Diu”; Saul accepts without enthusiasm. The bird subsequently carries Saul and Keli across long distances while they plan and talk, serving as reliable transport during Saul's transition from Borderland ruler to a wizard operating across continents. Appearance and personality
Diu Diu is an enormous pale-yellow bird with broad wings and feathers large enough to cover a human face. Its individual temperament is not developed beyond calm tolerance of passengers.
Abilities
It sustains stable long-distance flight while carrying multiple wizards and their equipment.
