Biography
A brother brought into the tower
David was George's nine-year-old younger brother, sent to work as a tower servant because George's letters had made service sound safer and grander than it was. Assigned to clean a dangerous Second Rank corridor, he feared the unexplained disappearances while George tried to shield him. Angela abducted David for sacrifice, cut out his heart, and severed his head. David's childlike soul then attached to George's shoulder and fused with him, leaving the elder brother permanently carrying the consequence of his exaggeration. (Chapters 210–243)
Appearance and personality
David is a nine-year-old boy, frightened but trusting of his older brother. After death, his head appears on George's shoulder as the visible form of their spiritual fusion.
Abilities
- No wizard training or independent supernatural ability is established.
- After death, his soul can remain attached to and merged with George.
