Rupert

Rupert is one of Central Academy's elite exchange competitors and a close companion of Kayzel. He competes with wind magic, participates in the group's punitive ambush of Wilton students, and later recognizes that the supposedly crippled Piba has fully recovered.

Biography

Central Academy exchange

Rupert arrives as one of the strong students who habitually accompany Kayzel. In the force-pushing event, he and Kayzel use concentrated wind against Piba and Yolden; when Kayzel pauses to build a larger spell, Rupert keeps the pressure alone until the Wilton team's control overturns their advantage. The loss does not lead to sportsmanship. Rupert joins Kayzel, Ponzo, and Bones in following the Wilton students and regrouping after the upset. (Chapters 1393–1397)

Ambush and later alarm

Rupert helps corner Piba and Moze in a restroom where the group has arranged silence and blocked outside entry. He calmly tells the victims that no one can hear them, then raises an earth wall so their bodies crash into it after Kayzel's fire attack. Later, he assesses Wilton's early dimension result more soberly than Ponzo and accepts it when no cheating can be proved. Seeing Piba perform again finally makes Rupert understand that the core damage Kayzel intended has somehow been healed. (Chapters 1398, 1409, and 1421)

Appearance and personality

Rupert is a light-skinned boy with short orange hair, freckles, and a round face. His calm delivery during the ambush makes him more controlled than Ponzo, not less complicit. He can analyze inconvenient evidence—the dimension result and Piba's recovery—without immediate denial, but he remains aligned with Kayzel's intimidation and shows no remorse in the supplied chapters. (Chapters 1393, 1398, and 1409–1421)

Magic, cultivation, and abilities

Rupert directly casts wind magic as a concentrated elemental force during the tournament and earth magic to raise a solid wall behind the ambushed students. He also speaks collectively of a silence spell and blocked entrance, but the text does not identify which member cast those measures, so they cannot be assigned to him personally. No star rank, breakthrough, or later progression is established. (Chapters 1396 and 1398)

Relationships

  • Kayzel: Rupert is one of Kayzel's closest companions, competes beside him, and supports his assault on Wilton students.
  • Piba: Rupert first loses to Piba's team, then helps ambush and injure him. Piba's later recovery shocks Rupert because it contradicts the intended lasting damage.
  • Moze: Rupert participates in cornering Moze and uses an earth wall as part of the attack that drives both Wilton students into the tiled room.
  • Ponzo and Bones: They form the rest of the Central group involved in following and ambushing the Wilton pair.

Items

Rupert wears Central Academy's enchanted student uniform, but no named personal item, wand, or unique artifact is established. His wind and earth effects are presented as his spellcasting rather than equipment-derived powers. (Chapters 1393–1398)
