Mada

Mada is the Flowing Force Clan's academy heir, a proud rival of Raze Cromwell, and Ricktor's recurring partner. Raised to expect the privileges and obedience of a main disciple, he becomes one of the students who reject Murkel Dockthron's lethal academy order. His anger and clan pride gradually shift from defending inherited status to defending chosen comrades and, ultimately, leading Flowing Force reinforcements in Raze's final war.

Biography

Main disciple under pressure

Mada enters the academy with short, spiky blue hair and the status of a top disciple from one of the Dark Faction's five great clans. He watches Gunther favor Raze while ignoring him, and the slight feeds a rivalry already shaped by family expectations. Mada initially measures worth through rank and recognition: a no-name student receiving attention feels like a challenge to the hierarchy that promises Mada his own importance. (Chapters 80–126)

He tries to investigate Raze in secret and later fights within the academy's sanctioned contests, but Raze's strength forces him to revise his contempt. Even after losing, Mada's resentment remains visible, while Ricktor's composure becomes another standard against which he compares himself. The change is incomplete but important: by the time Raze wears a Red Headband, Mada explicitly argues that the others should stop treating him as a nobody and recognize the position he has earned. Assessments and rebellion

Food deprivation and manipulated assessments reveal that clan privilege will not necessarily protect Mada. He notices that Raze and the lower-ranked students remain unexpectedly capable, then cooperates when enemies use darkness, noise, and ambushes to isolate the participants. Mada asks why attackers remove corpses and supports moving toward the truth rather than preserving competition while everyone is hunted. Survival begins to align him with students he once dismissed. As the academy crisis deepens, Mada trains hard enough to approach teacher-level strength and works beside Ricktor during the portal conflict. Murkel still selects them as exemplary disciples, but that public approval no longer determines Mada's loyalty. He sees clan authorities turn trials into executions and ultimately joins the student coalition around Raze, choosing the people sharing the danger over leaders who regard disciples as assets. Tournament and the reformed faction

At the inter-faction tournament, Mada's pride remains volatile. He resents unequal criticism, duels Light Faction opponents, and nearly dies challenging stronger adults rather than accept humiliation. Ricktor repeatedly serves as partner and foil, while Raze's intervention prevents faction pressure from deciding the students' fate. When Murkel's coup becomes public, Mada's anger turns against the authorities whose honor he was trained to defend. (Chapters 610–703)

After the escape, Mada trains under Amir and helps take control of Dark Faction clans for the new order. Returning to his own clan is not effortless; its members resist, and he must prove that he has the strength and legitimacy to lead them away from Murkel's structure. By joining Raze rather than inheriting the old faction unchanged, Mada redirects clan pride into responsibility for the warriors who follow him. (Chapters 703–813)

Coalition wars and return with his clan

Mada remains beside Ricktor through the defense of Flendon, the funeral ambush, and preparations against Alter. He helps injured companions, follows Ricktor when grief over Simyon's death requires space, and joins Amir's army planning rather than turning loss into another internal feud. Raze counts Mada and Ricktor among the young leaders capable of gathering clan artifacts and troops, showing that their former rivalry has become operational trust. (Chapters 859–1210)

He fights in the Pagna war as one of the Dark Faction's leading young warriors and survives the coalition's victory. Years later, when Raze needs reinforcements against Noble Land, Mada returns with Flowing Force fighters under his own authority. He and Ricktor work together against the fortress towers, and Mada uses inherited boots to generate and move through water. His latest established state is alive, fighting with his clan for the coalition he once joined as a rebellious student. (Chapters 1210–1274 and 1721–1724)

Appearance and personality

Mada is introduced with short, dark, spiky blue hair and the bearing of a privileged academy young master. He is proud, easily angered, and more visibly reactive than Ricktor; disrespect, unequal treatment, or unexpected defeat can dominate his attention. Those traits make him abrasive, but also leave him unable to remain emotionally neutral when authorities betray students or allies are threatened. (Chapters 80, 141, 304, and 650)

His development changes the object of his pride rather than eliminating it. Mada still argues, competes, and takes dangerous challenges personally, but later stakes his reputation on comrades and on leading the Flowing Force Clan into a cross-world war. The same anger once directed at Raze becomes energy against Murkel's order and Alter's invasion. (Chapters 481, 684, 769, and 1721–1724)

Magic, cultivation, and abilities

Flowing Force cultivation

Mada is trained in the Flowing Force Clan's Qi-centered martial arts. Its combat principle uses the movement and redirection of force rather than meeting every attack rigidly, supporting close combat, defense, and changes of momentum. He begins as an elite academy disciple, advances through intense training, and reaches the level of a formidable young middle-stage warrior. The corpus does not establish that he possesses a magic core or technological system. (Chapters 80–144, 352–395, and 610–769)

His limits are repeatedly visible. Raze defeats him early, senior clan heads can suppress him with aura, and he cannot face Deleter- or Grand-Magus-level enemies alone. Growth comes through training, dangerous experience, and cooperation with Ricktor rather than a sudden transformation. By the final war he can lead clan fighters and contribute against fortress infrastructure, but no later exact cultivation stage is supplied. (Chapters 145, 641–703, 1210, and 1721–1724)

Family boots and water movement

During the Noble Land assault, Mada wears special boots passed down through the Flowing Force family. They let him generate water and move through it, adding mobility and battlefield control to his native Qi arts. This effect is item-derived rather than proof of an innate magical water affinity. The finalized item manifest does not provide the boots with a separate article, and their complete costs and limits remain unspecified. (Chapter 1724)

Minor strengths include tactical observation, fighting in darkness through team formation, leading clan troops, and coordinating naturally with Ricktor. These are learned competencies rather than separate supernatural systems. (Chapters 328–352, 801, and 1721–1724)

Relationships

• Raze Cromwell: Mada begins resentful of the no-name student who receives attention he expects for himself. Raze's strength and protection of students force respect, and Mada eventually returns with his clan to support Raze's final campaign.
• Ricktor: Ricktor is Mada's partner, competitor, and emotional counterweight. They train, fight, rebel, and later lead their respective clan forces together.
• Murkel Dockthron: Murkel presents Mada as an exemplary disciple while treating academy students as expendable. Rejecting Murkel is Mada's decisive break from inherited Dark Faction authority.
• Amir: Amir trains Mada after the tournament and later commands the coalition force in which he serves.
