Dezra Lionheart is a talented collateral descendant who grows from a participant in the Bloodline Continuation Ceremony into a Black Lion and disciple of Carmen. She later works as a low-ranked Shimuin gladiator and joins the naval expedition against Iris, fighting beside Ciel and caring for her after the battle with the Demon King of Fury. Biography

Shimuin and the Demon King of Fury

Dezra first meets Eugene as one of the strongest collateral children invited to the continuation ceremony. After failing to match him alone, she proposes cooperation with Gargith, survives the labyrinth, and later joins the Black Lion Knights under Carmen Lionheart. In Shimuin, she assists Ciel Lionheart at the arena, gives up a scheduled gladiator match to join the Pirate Empress subjugation, and trains under Carmen for the voyage. She receives light dragon-scale armor and fights through the expedition's battles. When Ciel loses an eye protecting Eugene, Dezra carries her to treatment, weeps at her bedside, and remains beside Carmen through the recovery and victory parade. Appearance and personality

As a young adult, Dezra is tall, with healthy tanned skin and long, slender limbs; these remain recognizable from her childhood. She wears a light suit of dragon-scale armor for the Shimuin expedition, covering her torso without restricting movement. The corpus does not specify her hair or eye color in the selected scenes. Dezra is competitive, direct, sharp-tongued, and more polite than Ciel when addressing senior outsiders. Her threats and complaints often carry humor, but her attachment to her companions is serious: she worries about Ciel before the voyage, sobs after Ciel is wounded, and keeps hold of her hand afterward. Abilities and powers

Dezra is a trained Lionheart swordswoman and Black Lion. She is capable of surviving the Black Lion hunt, sparring in combination with Ciel against Carmen, and fighting through the Pirate Empress campaign without suffering a documented major injury. Her dragon-scale armor resists ordinary sword-force around the torso but leaves other areas exposed, a limit Ciel explicitly warns her not to forget. Relationships

  • Carmen Lionheart: Carmen trains Dezra as one of her young disciples, brings her on the dangerous Shimuin expedition, and worries about her future. Dezra accepts the discipline and fights under her direction. (Chapters 340, 351–367, and 382)
  • Ciel Lionheart: Dezra serves as Ciel's arena attendant, training partner, fellow expedition member, and close friend. She takes over carrying Ciel after the loss of her eye and remains at her bedside during recovery. (Chapters 338–339, 351–382, and 469)
