Gargith Lionheart

Gargith Lionheart is a collateral descendant from an influential branch of the Lionheart clan. His straightforward courage, physical training, and respect for the main line carry him from the childhood Bloodline Continuation Ceremony into the Knights of the Black Lion and the later campaigns of his generation. Biography

Rebirth and the Lionheart Main Family

At fourteen, Gargith arrives as one of the strongest collateral candidates and initially doubts the untrained Eugene's victory over Cyan. After seeing Eugene's skill, he and Dezra propose cooperation for the labyrinth. Gargith nevertheless confronts a troll alone, defeats it with his greatsword despite injury, and exhausts himself before reaching the final boss. The experience leaves him embarrassed but openly impressed rather than resentful. Seven years later, he returns for the Black Lion hunt as a huge, muscle-obsessed young warrior, follows Cyan after becoming lost, and is captured for Eward's ritual before Eugene rescues the sacrifices. Gargith subsequently joins the Black Lions, participates in the Knight March and later deployments, and continues daily training and his family's muscle-growth regimen through the eve of the final wars. Appearance and personality

Gargith grows from a large fourteen-year-old into an enormous, heavily muscled man whose bulk eventually surpasses Molon's. At twenty-two he is already a head taller than before, wears a sleeveless top to display his physique, and has a voluminous mustache and beard that make him look much older. By his later twenties, formal clothes sit awkwardly on his burly frame. (Chapters 11, 134, 230, 400, and 539)

He is courageous, earnest, loyal, gullible, and comically preoccupied with physical beauty. Gargith evaluates weapons by weight and strength, admires muscular bodies, discusses supplements and hot springs, and treats visible growth as an achievement worth congratulating. That simplicity also protects him from status resentment: he can respect Cyan, Hector, and Eugene simultaneously and accepts leadership without turning collateral identity into hostility. Abilities and powers

Gargith's fighting style centers on exceptional strength, endurance, and a greatsword. Even as a child he continues advancing through injury, defeats a labyrinth troll directly, and is judged clumsy but relentless. His later Black Lion training and muscle-growth preparations make him dramatically larger, but the corpus assigns him no named Signature, distinctive mana formula, or demonstrated supernatural technique. His childhood exhaustion before the boss and capture during the corrupted hunt show that strength alone does not protect him from attrition or mental interference. Relationships

• Dezra Lionheart: Dezra is Gargith's peer from another influential collateral branch. They plan together as children, argue constantly, enter the Black Lions in the same generation, and continue serving on shared deployments. (Chapters 8–19, 132–150, 230, and 469)
• Eugene Lionheart: Gargith moves from disbelief at Eugene's skill to open respect. Eugene rescues him from Eward's ritual, later congratulates his Black Lion membership, and repeatedly endures Gargith's invitations to admire his muscles. (Chapters 8–19, 143–150, 230, and 539)
• Cyan Lionheart: Gargith treats Cyan with the respect due the next patriarch, gives him hair-growth medicine, and readily follows him during the hunt. His answer that he can respect both Cyan and Hector undercuts Cyan's anxiety about competition between the main and collateral lines. (Chapters 134 and 140)
