Sepira

Sepira is Silvan's dark-elf aide and the vice captain and navigator of the Black Flame Dragon. Her disciplined support keeps Silvan's missions functioning, and her loyalty is tested severely when she loses a hand while protecting the royal siblings from the Famine Knight.

Biography

Service to Silvan

Sepira serves as the practical counterweight to Silvan's theatrical command style. He trusts her to remain with a squad protecting Spider Forest, while her navigation keeps the Black Flame Dragon moving day and night and shortens difficult journeys. During the indigenous ruin expedition, she stands beside Felicia, reacts with her sword when the Famine Knight breaks through the prepared defense, and loses her wrist to his draining power before Silvan cuts through her arm to stop the effect from spreading. Despite the injury, she follows Silvan's order to carry Felicia away, remains prepared to die between the royal siblings and their pursuer, and later helps evacuate the unconscious Silvan. (Chapters 96, 100, and 138–141)

The deaths of most of the ship's crew leave Sepira grieving and overworked, but finding three survivors lets her resume the vice captain's responsibility of getting the Black Flame Dragon airborne. She continues caring for Silvan until she finally rests, then returns to court and field service: she manages messages, estimates travel time, follows him during the Sky Forest emergency, and helps the other aides restrain the exhausted royal children in the north. The narrative still describes her hand as cut off upon her return to the palace and never explicitly states whether regeneration magic later restores it, so her subsequent activity establishes continued service but not the limb's recovery. Appearance and personality

Sepira is a female dark elf with purple hair. The corpus gives no reliable description of her height, eye color, clothing, or apparent age. She is disciplined enough to endure Silvan's embarrassing shipboard declarations, but she is not emotionally remote: she cries for fallen crew members, shows deep gratitude after In-gong saves Silvan, and struggles to hide her relief when survivors are found. Her loyalty is active rather than ceremonial. Sepira obeys urgent orders without delay, carries Felicia away even while Felicia protests, and pushes the injured Silvan back toward rest. She can also share the other aides' quiet humor and is suggested to admire Carack, though the corpus develops that attraction only through brief reactions rather than a relationship arc. Swordsmanship

Sepira carries a sword and reacts fast enough to strike when the Famine Knight closes on her, but he reads its trajectory and catches her wrist before the blow lands. She later stands with Delia between the Famine Knight and the incapacitated royal siblings. These scenes establish combat training and courage, not her rank or a named sword style; the corpus shows no independent victory and gives no technique mechanics. (Chapters 138–139)

Navigation and ship operations

As vice captain and navigator, Sepira calculates routes for the Black Flame Dragon, keeps it traveling through the night, and judges how weather changes a journey. Her estimates place the flight from Spider Forest to the lycanthrope palace at two or three days, and favorable conditions later let the ship reach the Demon King's Palace two days sooner than expected. The corpus does not separate her personal magic from the ship's systems or explain exactly how she navigates. (Chapters 100 and 175)

Relationships

• Silvan: Sepira is Silvan's aide, vice captain, and trusted restraining influence. She protects his sister on command, weeps beside him after his near death, helps move him to safety, and later forces him to rest while he recovers. (Chapters 96, 138–144, and 188)
• Felicia: Sepira guards Felicia during the ruin expedition and carries her away from the Famine Knight despite her resistance. She ultimately stands ready to die protecting both twins. (Chapters 138–141)
• In-gong: In-gong kills the enemy threatening Sepira's party, treats and purifies her wound, and saves Silvan. Sepira responds with profound gratitude and thereafter remains part of the wider allied household around him. (Chapters 141–147 and 205)
• Delia: Sepira and Delia protect Felicia together, retreat through the collapsing ruin, and stand side by side for a last defense before In-gong arrives. They later cooperate with the other royal aides. (Chapters 138–142 and 205)

Sepira uses an unnamed sword in the indigenous ruin and serves aboard the Black Flame Dragon, but the ship belongs to the dark elves and is commanded by Silvan rather than being her property. No named personal item or continuing artifact custody is established for her. (Chapters 96, 100, and 138)
