Aurelia
Aurelia is a martial artist and assassin of the Thunder Family who rejects her brother Daniel Thunder's alliances and ambitions. Her pursuit of strength draws her into Alex Rogue's party, where she becomes an active opponent of Daniel, a long-term teammate, and eventually one of Alex's five wives. (Chapters 19, 116, 152–176, 187–249, 412–415, and 458–512)
Biography
Advancement, family conflict, and training
Aurelia first appears in the real world when she uses a practiced martial-arts hold to restrain Daniel during one of his destructive rages. Although both siblings are Thunder-family beta testers, she advances as a solo assassin while Daniel builds a guild and embraces the inter-family coalition that their father has declined to join. Aurelia rejects the same offer and its threats, explaining that she wants enough strength to defend her family from the factions surrounding them. Her competitive streak brings her into repeated tournament fights with Alice Starfield, whose overwhelming victories make Aurelia curious about Alice's leader, FateBreaker. (Chapters 19, 116, and 152–162)
When Alex intervenes in another clash between the women, Aurelia immediately challenges him and loses without landing a hit. Rather than withdrawing, she asks to join his party because she wants to become stronger, accepting his leadership despite her stated dislike of orders. Alex and Alice protect her on high-level floors while she gains experience, and Alex upgrades her Return Twin Daggers into mentally controlled weapons. After reaching level 250, Aurelia receives a Tier-5 advancement task requiring her to clear the Dark Dungeon within one week. She enters alone and later returns to the Fox Tribe Village triumphant, confirming that she completed the advancement. (Chapters 162–171 and 176)
Aurelia's developing loyalty is tested when Daniel attempts to establish Overlord City. She voluntarily selects the attackers' camp and asks Alex to retrieve her, explaining that Daniel's willingness to betray their family has become a survival threat. Aurelia fights through the siege beside Alex and Alice, confronts Daniel when he calls her a traitor, and helps destroy the city altar, finishing second among the attackers' contributors. The victory blocks Daniel from immediately trying again and establishes that Aurelia will act against her brother rather than allow family loyalty to excuse his pursuit of power. (Chapters 185 and 187–191)
Alex subsequently brings Aurelia into higher Tower of Destiny floors to increase her strength before Daniel can strike. Her weapons evolve again into the Shadow Control Daggers, and she contacts her father, Mike, when Alex warns that Daniel may attack them outside the game. Daniel instead invades the Fox Tribe Village and nearly kills Alex permanently before the Heart of Calamity reverses the battle. Aurelia accepts that Daniel is permanently dead, tells Mike that her brother tried to kill them, and receives her father's approval for surviving the confrontation. Her response is relief and renewed energy rather than grief over a relative who had chosen to murder them. (Chapters 197–210)
The Golden Star Festival and later tower push show Aurelia changing from a protected, underleveled recruit into a functional assassin beside far stronger allies. She presses Alice closely in a rematch, uses the darkness and remote control granted by her daggers, protects Alera and Lilith when Alice briefly loses control, and gains twelve levels—from 272 to 284—after the floor-seven battle. She later fights high-level monsters with her blades moving as extensions of her body and spars Alera to a draw. At the same time, the Fox Tribe refuge becomes personal: hurt at being excluded from Alex's established intimacy with the other women, Aurelia directly asks to join them and is reassured that she matters to the household. (Chapters 214–226, 228–237, and 242–245)
Before Alex leaves for another long campaign, Aurelia joins the women who promise to wait. The farewell marks the endpoint of her first sustained journey with the party: she began as a rival whose weaker statistics repeatedly left Alex protecting her, but finishes as a trained teammate who has confronted her own family threat, earned a place in the refuge, and openly chosen both the partnership and its dangers. (Chapters 245 and 249)
Family reunion and survival
When Alex returns after months away, Aurelia joins Alice, Alera, and Lilith in rushing from Alera's house and holding him in a group embrace. Their discussion gives clearer language to relationships that had developed unevenly: Aurelia first calls herself his girlfriend, then accepts Alice's proposal that the four women are all his wives and need not compete. She supports the recovered Arcelia's arrival, imagines eventually showing the Universal Descent residents Earth, and warns Alex that another disappearance should at least include visits home. Her directness now protects the household's unity rather than only expressing rivalry. (Chapters 412–415)
At the approach of the Chosen Games, Aurelia is the first to leap into Alex's arms when he returns to the village training ground. His disclosure that he must fight gods shocks her, and the global countdown brings her to tears, but she asks what the family can do and remembers that she must warn her father. She stays beside Alex during his final conversation with the newly recovered Arcelia and joins the farewell that ends when the Games transport him away. Although she cannot enter the competition, her worry defines one of the homes and relationships that Alex is fighting to preserve. (Chapters 458–459)
Alex's survival converts Aurelia's fear into exuberant relief when he returns. She helps welcome Arcelia, Alera, and Lilith to Earth after the worlds connect, offers to teach the newcomers about technology, and immediately assures the uncertain Arcelia that she belongs with them. Ten years later, Aurelia remains one of Alex's five wives and has two children with him. The five women collectively mother all ten children without jealousy or distinctions between their offspring, while additional bloodlines obtained for the wives extend their lives for tens of thousands of years. (Chapters 509–510 and 512)
Appearance and personality
Aurelia is a tall, striking woman with long hair, sharp golden eyes, and the athletic training of both a real-world martial artist and a game assassin. In combat she carries paired daggers and moves with calculated precision; the corpus does not give a specific description of her armor. She can appear stoic or emotionally controlled, but the corpus repeatedly exposes a more expressive temperament: she pursues strong opponents with open excitement, pouts when asked to wait, becomes embarrassed when protected, and voices hurt when she feels excluded. Her blunt condemnation of Daniel and immediate defense of friends show that her loyalty is deliberate rather than automatic family obedience. (Chapters 19, 155, 162–170, 188–191, 210–221, and 242–244)
Skills and system abilities
Aurelia is trained in martial arts outside Universal Descent and uses an assassin class within it. Her SS-level talent is named Assassin of Shadows; one demonstrated effect detects players across a large radius, allowing her to sense approaching targets. At level 210 she can fight level-250 monsters, and joining Alex's party accelerates her growth through much stronger zones. She remains less powerful than Alex and Alice during the early tower climb, but develops enough speed, control, and judgment to contribute against later bosses and survive independently against high-level enemies. (Chapters 19, 116, 155, 162–166, 198–200, 220–225, and 230–231)
Shadow techniques
Shadow Blink teleports Aurelia a short distance through shadows and lets her cross an arena or attack from a blind spot. Shadow Barrier surrounds her with dark energy that absorbs incoming attacks, while Phantom Mirage creates three illusory copies indistinguishable from her original form until struck. Starry Fang Assault produces a wave of dagger-shaped projectiles. These techniques give her movement, defense, deception, and ranged pressure, although Alice and Alex demonstrate that superior perception, tracking, or statistics can defeat each of them. (Chapters 155 and 162–163)
Remote dagger control
The evolved daggers' Perfect Control passive lets Aurelia guide them mentally in any direction and through complex maneuvers, with proficiency increasing through practice. As the Shadow Control Daggers, they also provide Shadow Strike and Eternal Night Veil. The veil creates two hundred meters of impenetrable darkness for thirty seconds and increases shadow-attack damage by fifty percent. Aurelia uses the blades to attack from safety, deflect projectiles, close multiple attack routes, and fight as though the floating weapons are extensions of her body. (Chapters 170, 188–200, 214, 221, 226, and 230–231)

- Mike Thunder: Mike is Aurelia's father and supports her independent approach to Universal Descent. She warns him about Daniel and reports Daniel's permanent death; Mike's response is concern for her safety rather than condemnation. (Chapters 116, 155, 188, and 203–210)
- Alera: Alera becomes Aurelia's host, co-wife, and friendly sparring rival. Their frost-and-shadow duel ends in a draw and demonstrates Aurelia's growing command of her daggers. (Chapters 200–226, 242–244, 412–415, and 512)
- Arcelia: Aurelia helps welcome Arcelia after her curse is removed and later assures her that she belongs in the Earth household. They become co-wives and shared parents within the epilogue family. (Chapters 413–415, 458–459, and 510–512)
Items
- Shadow Control Daggers: Alex first evolves Aurelia's Return Twin Daggers into Free Control Daggers, then synthesizes those weapons with the Warden's Dagger of Endless Shadows. The resulting Divine+ paired weapon supplies major Strength and Agility bonuses, remote mental control, Shadow Strike, and Eternal Night Veil. (Chapters 155, 163, 170, and 200)
