Shadow Control Daggers

The Shadow Control Daggers are Aurelia’s paired signature weapons. They begin as the Return Twin Daggers, become the Free Control Daggers through Alex Rogue’s Potential Extraction, and receive their final name after synthesis with the Warden’s Dagger of Endless Shadows. (Chapters 155, 170, 200)

History

Return Twin Daggers

Aurelia obtains the Return Twin Daggers from a Fate Gift Box bought from Kars. Their defining early property is recall: after she throws a blade at Alice, a pull of her arm makes it shake and fly back into her hand. She continues wielding the pair during her duel with Alex. (Chapters 155, 163)

Free Control and shadow synthesis

Aurelia temporarily hands the pair to Alex, who applies Potential Extraction and returns them as Divine Free Control Daggers. The transformation replaces simple recall with Perfect Control, allowing mental movement in any direction and permitting increasingly complex maneuvers as the wielder gains practice. (Chapter 170)

After defeating the sixth-floor Warden, Alex briefly takes the daggers again and synthesizes them with the Warden’s Dagger of Endless Shadows. The Divine+ Shadow Control Daggers gain Shadow Strike and Eternal Night Veil while retaining Perfect Control, and Alex immediately returns the completed pair to Aurelia. (Chapter 200)

Aurelia’s later use

Aurelia uses the upgraded weapons as floating blades in the Golden Star Festival, surrounding the arena with darkness before attacking from multiple directions. She later throws them into an incoming arrow to slow it long enough for Alex to intervene, then continues refining her control in spars and the Tower of Destiny. No later transfer or loss is documented. (Chapters 214, 221, 226, 230)

Abilities and properties

• Perfect Control permits mental direction of the daggers at varied speeds and through complex paths, but its description says mastery develops through practice rather than arriving instantly. (Chapters 170, 226)
• The final pair grants 50,000 Strength and 40,000 Agility and carries Shadow Strike, Perfect Control, and Eternal Night Veil. (Chapter 200)
• Eternal Night Veil creates a 200-meter radius of impenetrable darkness for thirty seconds and raises shadow-based attack damage within it by 50 percent. (Chapter 214)
• The blades can intercept or delay attacks, but their brief resistance to Alice’s powerful arrow shows that they do not automatically stop every projectile. (Chapter 221)
