Biography

Emperor, subordinate, and final sacrifice

Yan Tianxiao initially weighs whether Yun Che's destruction of the Burning Moon Realm makes him a threat or an opportunity, but the submission of the three Yama ancestors leaves resistance impossible. He kneels, preserves his realm through obedience, and becomes one of the central commanders of the Northern Divine Region's war. His loyalty grows from compelled submission into deliberate service as Yun Che overturns the order that confined dark profound practitioners. During the Western Divine Region's invasion, Yan Tianxiao burns his body and soul to fight the Dragon Gods, dying completely and leaving his daughter Yan Wu to rebuild the weakened Yama Realm. Appearance and personality

Yan Tianxiao has the imposing dark aura and imperial bearing of a ruler who has held the Yama Realm for many years. He is proud, pragmatic, and protective of his inheritance: he yields when defiance would annihilate his people, but does not remain passive once he accepts Yun Che's cause. His final self-sacrifice establishes the sincerity behind that later loyalty. (Chapters 1675–1690 and 1835–1867)

Abilities and cultivation

As a level-ten Divine Master carrying the Yama Devil inheritance, Yan Tianxiao possesses immense darkness profound energy, realm-level perception, and the ability to fight among the strongest god emperors. He remains below the empowered Yama ancestors and the Dragon Gods in raw ancient foundation. Burning his body and soul releases his highest power at the cost of irreversible death and leaves only a fragment of a jade button behind. (Chapters 1675–1690 and 1853–1867)
