Nanhuang Mofeng is the Guardian Elder of the Southern Phoenix Divine Country and its only Divine Sovereign besides the realm king.
Biography
The elder who doubted Nanhuang Chanyi's recruit
Mofeng intercepts Yun Che and Qianye Ying’er when they enter with a Southern Phoenix token, demanding to know why outsiders possess royal authorization. Nanhuang Chanyi identifies them as her recruits for the Central Ruins Battle, but their apparent fifth-level Divine King cultivation convinces Mofeng that relying on them is madness. His anger grows when Chanyi assigns Yun Che to fight ten opponents alone and refuses the alliance expected from Beihan Chu. The Southern Phoenix Divine Sovereign repeatedly orders him to remain silent and watch. Yun Che's effortless victories prove that Chanyi understood the hidden power while her guardian elder judged only the visible realm. (Chapters 1561–1570)
Appearance and personality
Nanhuang Mofeng is a white-haired old man with heavy pressure and the stern bearing of a national guardian. He is loyal, vigilant, and openly protective of Southern Phoenix, but also rigid in his assessment of cultivation levels. His protests come from fear that Chanyi is gambling with the country's future rather than from private disloyalty. (Chapters 1561–1570)

Mofeng is a Divine Sovereign and the second-strongest acknowledged practitioner in Southern Phoenix. His perception accurately reads Yun Che's deliberately exposed fifth-level Divine King aura but cannot penetrate the concealed strength behind it, demonstrating the limit of normal realm-based judgment.
