Nanhuang Chanyi

Nanhuang Chanyi is the Southern Phoenix crown princess identity used by Yu Wu, one of Chi Wuyao’s Witches, during Yun Che’s entry into the Northern Divine Region.

Biography

The veiled Witch

Chanyi leads the Southern Phoenix side at the Central Ruins Battle while concealing an authority far above the Five Nether Ruins. She rejects pressure from rival powers, chooses Yun Che for her faction despite universal ridicule, and remains calm when the Southern Phoenix elders threaten punishment. His overwhelming victory validates her decision and draws him into contact with the hidden power behind her—the Soul Stealing Realm and Chi Wuyao. (Chapters 1557–1573)

Her crown-princess role is ultimately revealed as Yu Wu’s concealed identity. She resumes service as a Witch through the northern campaign and Emperor Yun’s reign, carrying out Chi Wuyao’s intelligence and security orders. When the Abyssal passage becomes the central threat, she is assigned to guard the Northern Divine Region and search its ancient records, a responsibility requiring secrecy rather than public rule. Appearance and personality

Chanyi is a veiled woman whose beauty and quiet dignity provoke envy even before her identity is known. She is controlled, perceptive, and willing to endure public scorn to preserve a larger design, rarely explaining herself before action makes her purpose clear. (Chapters 1557–1573)

Abilities and cultivation

As a Witch, Yu Wu is a high-level darkness profound practitioner empowered and trained by Chi Wuyao. Her concealment lets her pass as a regional princess, but her exact techniques and final numbered cultivation are not directly established in her Chanyi scenes. (Chapters 1573, 1644, and 1759)
