Ice Lotus
The Ice Lotus is a natural treasure found in the World Gap during the birth of a world. Its icy flower and flaming pistil express ice and fire as powers from the same source, making it unusually compatible with Yan Jin's cultivation.
History
A concealed gift breaks Yan Jin's bottleneck
Xue Feng finds the lotus among the World Gap's newly formed treasures and asks King Calm Sea whether its unified ice-and-fire nature suits Yan Jin. After receiving confirmation, Xue Feng entrusts the boxed flower to Meng Chuan, asking him to present it as his own gift because Yan Jin would refuse anything known to come from the Xue family. (Chapters 307–308)
Yan Jin accepts the lotus and finds inspiration in its opposing but unified powers. Within three months of seeing it, he breaks through to the Realm of Dao; further progress in sword art and his long-nurtured soul then lets him condense an Essence Soul and become a Marquis Godfiend. He credits the lotus with overcoming a bottleneck that might otherwise have held him for an extremely long time. (Chapter 331)
Abilities and properties
The flower is produced during world formation and visibly contains both ice and fire: the lotus itself is icy, while flames flicker at its pistil. The two powers share one origin rather than merely coexisting, which gives the treasure its value as an object of cultivation insight. (Chapters 307–308)
Its demonstrated effect is inspiration and compatibility, not a direct grant of cultivation. Yan Jin's observation of the lotus helps him comprehend the Realm of Dao, while his later Essence Soul and Marquis breakthrough also depend on years of prior cultivation, sword insight, and soul nurturing.
