Wang Shan
Wang Shan is one of Archean Mountain's two Dao Protectors. His direct combat power is limited relative to the strongest Regis Godfiends, but his sixth-level Essence Soul and mystic techniques make him a valuable partner against elite demon teams.
Biography
Hidden guardian to World Gap partner
Qin Wu first stations Wang Shan secretly in Jiang State Capital to protect it while Meng Chuan and Liu Qiyue are redeployed. Years later, Archean Mountain assigns him to Meng Chuan in the World Gap, where his Essence Soul attacks cover the killing weakness in Meng's otherwise formidable survival and movement abilities. Wang Shan emerges from a grotto-heaven to strike Holy Lady Strings at a critical moment, safeguards Meng's Grotto-Heaven Magic Bead during an attempt to approach the Origins of Wind, and survives the campaign's final expedition. (Chapters 284–285, 416–424, 432, and 465)
Appearance and personality
He appears as a dispirited-looking, black-robed man. Wang Shan follows dangerous orders without complaint and accepts a largely concealed support role; the corpus gives no explicit private ambitions. (Chapters 424 and 432)
Abilities and cultivation
Wang Shan has a sixth-level Essence Soul and learns several Essence Soul techniques, including the Magic Awl Forbidden Spell. These attacks can disrupt enemies for a stronger physical combatant, but the narrative explicitly notes that he is not especially strong in direct combat. (Chapters 416 and 424)
Relationships
- Meng Chuan: Assigned partner whose physical and movement strengths complement Wang Shan's Essence Soul attacks.
