Murong You

Murong You is the white-eyebrowed, golden-eyed master of the Skydemon Sect's Eastcalm branch. He leads an attempt to capture Meng Chuan, only for the supposedly limited young cultivator to kill both vice branch masters and delay Murong long enough for Fairy Meng to arrive.

Biography

A calculated abduction destroys the Eastcalm branch

Murong and his two deputies plan to surround Meng Chuan, believing their knowledge of local Godfiend detection and response times will let them escape before reinforcements arrive. Meng Chuan detects Murong before he attacks, reverses the pursuit, kills the deputies, and repeatedly injures the branch master. Murong's speed keeps him alive temporarily, but the delay allows Fairy Meng to capture and bind him. (Chapters 44–47)

In captivity, Murong first demands survival in exchange for the branch's locations. Fairy Meng refuses and tortures him until he reveals the headquarters and outposts, then grants the “release” she had promised only as a quick death. His information lets the Meng family wipe out the Eastcalm network in a coordinated raid. (Chapter 48)

Appearance and personality

Murong has white eyebrows and golden eyes, and his movement is compared to a giant bird in darkness. He is initially confident in a carefully timed operation, recognizes that his team underestimated Meng Chuan, and then clings fiercely to survival. Under interrogation, that resolve eventually breaks. (Chapters 44–48)

Abilities and cultivation

Murong emits demonic aura and is described as nearly invincible among those below the Godfiend level. He moves quickly enough to race toward a canal and understands how soil, rock, and water obstruct detection. Meng Chuan can nevertheless match his normal speed and suppress him with short bursts of greater power; Murong cannot defeat either Meng Chuan or the arriving Godfiend. (Chapters 44–48)
