Marquis Martial Yang

Marquis Martial Yang, also rendered Marquis Wuyang, is a Black Sand Grotto-Heaven Marquis whose fixation on Bai Nianyun leads him to arrange the framing of Meng Dajiang. Years later, an illusion interrogation also exposes his collusion with demons, and three Creation Supremacies authorize his secret execution. (Chapters 218–227 and 409–411)

Biography

Jealous retaliation and exposure

Martial Yang visits Bai Nianyun after mastering a Halberd Hall secret art, but she rejects his familiarity. Learning that she once married Meng Dajiang, he studies the mortal's family and asks Chunyu Mu to punish and frame him while leaving a possibility of survival. Bai Yaoyue uncovers his role and imposes three years of exhausting Tang State patrols, but the sect does not initially execute him. (Chapters 218–227)

After Meng Chuan becomes a Regis Godfiend, surviving letters bring the plot back before Black Sand Grotto-Heaven's leaders. Their illusion interrogation reveals a separate crime: Martial Yang has passed information to demons as insurance against a possible human defeat. Three Supremacies witness the admission and secretly execute him. This confirmed treason, rather than jealousy alone, determines the final sentence. (Chapters 409–411)

Appearance and personality

The corpus does not provide a detailed physical description. Martial Yang can behave politely before superiors, but privately shows possessiveness, jealousy, and fear of consequences. His own statements establish that he wanted a path of survival if the demons won; no broader ideology or repentance is recorded. (Chapters 218–219 and 409–411)

He is a Marquis Godfiend trained in Halberd Hall, has mastered at least one of its thirty-six secret arts, and knows a divine-armament refining method well enough to promise a soft sword.
