Zheng Yuandong

Steward of the Spirit Stream legacy

Zheng first appears overseeing Bai's memorial after the Luochen mission, arguing that honoring sacrifice is necessary to preserve sect morale. After Bai returns, Zheng alternately disciplines, protects, and promotes him while explaining the wider cultivation world and the Spirit Stream Sect's position beneath the Sky River Court. When the lower-reaches sects merge, Zheng continues as a senior administrator of the Spirit Stream Division, helping the new River-Defying Sect manage both internal affairs and Bai's disruptive prominence. During the riversource sect invasion, Zheng tends Bruiser's wounds and tries to keep him from returning to battle, fearing both for the beast and for what he would tell Bai if Bruiser died after Li Qinghou's capture.
