Biography

Turning devotion into celestial control

Zhang joins Gao Ming's group during the Human Emperor's confrontation with the celestial court and develops Deep Affection as a means of controlling attention rather than merely expressing romance. Because Du Ge needs rule-based abilities capable of inconveniencing beings far above ordinary contestants, Zhang's skill earns him a place in the coordinated attack on the celestial leadership. During the decisive clash, Zhang uses eye contact to fix a powerful target's attention on himself, helping the group interfere with opponents who would otherwise overwhelm them through cultivation alone. The Queen Mother's many faces create additional points vulnerable to visual engagement, but the effect remains tactical and depends on maintaining sight; it supports Du Ge's assault rather than replacing the need for stronger combatants.
