Han Zuo

Han Zuo is an Iron Palm Gang hall master whose gratitude to Qiu Yuanlang drives his resistance to Feng Qi's takeover.

Biography

Trying to preserve Qiu Yuanlang's gang

Han Zuo restrains Wang San during Feng Qi's assault but releases him when the wounded Qiu Yuanlang orders it, placing the gang leader's survival above his anger. After Feng Qi seizes control, Han vows to help Qiu Muqian rescue her father and intercepts the gang's outside forces so they will not walk into the same trap. He then cooperates with Feng Jiu's plan to undermine Feng Qi's keyword by disrupting Luyang, but their counterattack fails. Exposure to Wang San's fear leaves Han unable to function at his former level, and the Peacekeeping Gang demotes him to incense master while retaining his experience. (Chapters 30–40 and 48–53)

Appearance and personality

Han is hot-tempered in confrontation but loyal and disciplined toward Qiu Yuanlang. He explicitly treats his life as a debt to the old gang leader and accepts dangerous assignments to repay it. (Chapters 31 and 39)

Martial abilities

Han is a capable hall master who uses a sword and can restrain other fighters. Wang San's fear effect inflicts a lasting psychological disability, making proximity to Wang San operationally dangerous and ending Han's usefulness as a front-line master. (Chapters 30, 40, and 53)

Relationships

• Qiu Yuanlang: Han's loyalty comes from Qiu saving his life; protecting and rescuing him determines Han's choices.
• Du Ge: Han views Feng Qi as the destroyer of the Iron Palm Gang and joins attempts to weaken him, but ultimately falls under his organization.
