Biography

Turning public confession into a place among cultivators

Chen begins by livestreaming declarations in a hospital, using the attention to grow his keyword and win Rosie and Zhong Xie's goodwill. He follows them into the cultivation circle but is immediately neutralized by Du Ge, who recognizes him as an examinee. Although embarrassed when his keyword and skill become public, Chen chooses cooperation and quietly supports Du Ge's attempt to reach Tianshi Mountain. His apparently narrow specialty gains strategic value when Du Ge proposes using it to reduce the hostility of the ancient demons in the Demon Sealing Cave. (Chapters 271–284)

Chen remains insecure because Confession requires fame and seems weak beside direct combat keywords. Du Ge judges that he has interpreted the word too narrowly as romance rather than public declaration, while Chen envies Du Ge's rapid cultivation. Even so, he stays with the group and is present when Du Ge prepares his allies for the confrontation that ends this phase of the Simulation Field. (Chapters 284, 294–295)

Keywords, skills, and cultivation

Confession grows through declarations made before others. Its derived honeyed-words effect makes listeners less likely to dislike Chen and helps him build friendship, but it does not compel obedience and can be stopped by silence or by preventing him from speaking. The keyword could apply to broader public announcements, yet Chen primarily develops its romantic meaning and therefore needs visibility to progress. (Chapters 271–272, 278, 282, 294)
