Ming Jue Zi

Ming Jue Zi is a widely read yao researcher whose curiosity about Xiao Mo Ge turns into paid investigation and then sworn service. He lacks the reputation of a great combatant, but his historical knowledge, political instincts, contacts, and communication skills repeatedly give Zuo Mo's followers information that raw strength cannot supply.

Biography

Investigating Xiao Mo Ge

Ming Jue Zi enters the Wasteland Beast Chessboard out of curiosity and quickly recognizes that Nan Yue and Cang Ze are using rare high-level yao arts. He notices that Xiao Mo Ge can control the reconstructed prison rather than merely break it, compares the students' declining clans, and begins a deeper investigation. His knowledge is broad enough to identify many lost arts and prewar histories, but Xiao Mo Ge repeatedly overturns his assumptions; Ming Jue Zi even suspects that one recorded attack resembles a mo skill rather than any normal yao art. When Xiao Mo Ge offers a large bounty for information on the Battle of Sealed Extinction, Ming Jue Zi takes the work. He searches scarce records, reconstructs Constant Scarlet Jie's likely position from neighboring territories, and delivers the results through a recording yao art. Instead of accepting money, he asks for his ancestor Ming Duan's Water Wood Light Art. Adviser and follower

Ming Jue Zi immediately contributes political intelligence, identifying Yu Zi Zhou's connection to the attempt to draft Xiao Mo Ge and proposing a publicity strategy to force upper-level intervention. Yu Heng outmaneuvers that plan, a failure Ming Jue Zi openly recognizes. He later obtains a Bloody Sky Metropolis Jie map within a day; because his sources know yao defenses in detail but only the broad shape of mo lines, the chosen route still contains a serious gap. Ming Jue Zi's clan relocates with Nan Yue's people to Grey Clan territory so the three groups can support one another. Political strategy and communication

He understands how publicity, sympathy, and upper-level factional dislike can constrain official action. This makes him useful as an adviser, but his plan against the draft fails when Yu Heng reframes the dispute more skillfully. Water Wood Light Art

Water Wood Light Art is the lost method inherited from Ming Jue Zi's ancestor Ming Duan and restored by Pu Yao. Ming Duan and his clan

Ming Duan is Ming Jue Zi's ancestor and the prior holder of Water Wood Light Art. Recovering that inheritance motivates Ming Jue Zi to exchange his bounty and swear service.
